Planning/Day one
Well i have worked so hard to make this trip possible by doing so much research on the DIS and learning so much from you guys that I wanted to thank you for it once again! By learning so much from you I SAVED so much money we were able to make this trip.
We booked our flights with SW at $115/person. WOW. We were not planning to go back to Disney for a while but with the low airfares and room discounts we decided to take the kids for and early Christmas presant. My husband won't fly so we left him home with the dog. He's not a big fan of amusement parks or crowds so we let him stay home but next time he's in!
Anyway, the night before we were going to leave; my husbands grandmother tells me that she heard SW went bankrupt and cancelled flights! WHAT?? My FIL looked all day and couldn't find anything on it, so what did I do?? I went straight to the DIS and got my answer within miniutes...It wasn't SW it was SE (or something like that). Once again the DIS came through for me. Now I may add that my friend and sister make fun of me all the time for knowing so much about Disney....later they'll thank me! Ok so now we know we're still going. We flew out of Green airport in Providence, Rhode Island. Nice airport. We liked it better than bradley. I printed our boarding passes online at 4 am and received all A passes. The flight was great.
We reserved Tiffany Town car for us, actually it was a van since there were 7 of us and my sister does not travel light! We went down to baggage claim and there he was waiting for us. I thought great, he's already here; we'll grab our bags and off we go, right?? WRONG! We went outside to get the van and there was no one in site. The mears bus loaded up and was off before us. We waited at least 20 minutes for the van with one guy. He looked a little concerned also while we were waiting. He we booked a private car to avoid the mears mess like the last time and they were off even before us! Finally it showed up and off we went. The drive to POP was FAST! I was falling over my sister with every turn! I don't know how fast he was driving, but I thought i was on TT! Neither guy spoke one word to us the entire ride to the hotel. We tried to bring up conversation but no use. Oh well. When we arrived at PoP, the mears bus was just leaving! OMG! Look at the check in line! It was huge but it went fast, about 20 minutes. Our rooms were ready and they took us and luggage up ASAP. Great service! We raced up to change and meet our PS at 1900 Park Fare before MVMCP. We were only 15 minutes late and they took us right away. The food was ok. The characters were good. It took a long time for Cinderella to come around and my DD was getting anxious. She finally came, get out your autograph book....what mom forgot them!
OH NO! Well, the other girls with us tore out pages of their book and gave them to my kids so they could get autographs. How nice! We finished dinner and looked at all the decoration at the GF, how beautiful! Then we went off to MK for the party. I am so glad we didn't miss this, it was great. The parade, etc. just loved it. It was a little cold but we had shorts on so I can't say it was too bad. Now the kids were tired, they were up since 5am and we decided to go get the bus back to POP. I have to say this was only 1 of the 3 times we waited a long time for the bus. As we were waiting in line for the bus back to POP, my sister gets a phone call from her husband back at home. I could hear her asking him over and over again "what's wrong?" "I can tell something's wrong" well she asked for it! "WHAT.....is he OK", my heart sunk! Something bad....well then i heard "Is he in the hospital?? how's my car" OH BOY! Well her son (23 and has many trucks of is own as he owns his own landscaping business) took her car for a quick ride down the street and a deer ran across the road and he smashed up her car, her brand new car! She was beside herself! Upset about the car but was more worried about her son. Thankfully he was ok (until she gets home! 
) She was glad he wasn't hurt but was mad he took her car. He did feel horrible and still does. Sister realized a car is a material thing and her son is of course much more important so she was ok after a while. Got back to the hotel and off to bed at 11pm. Tomorrow off to MGM
