Hi all! I just found this message board and it's given me so much info. In fact, it's made me decide to go ahead and do US/IOA with dh when we go to Orlando in April for a conference. My question has to do with the rides and motion sickness. I tend to get motion sick pretty easily, but not on things like drops. Usually it's on things that spin or roller coasters that don't quite go fast enough. For example, at Disney, I have no problem with ToT, Splash Mountain, the GM ride at Epcot, or even most Six Flag type roller coasters. I do however tend to get sick with motion simulator rides (for example the "create your own roller coaster" one at Disney Quest) and the Aerosmith Rock'n Roller Coaster at MGM. Space Mountain is a borderline one (I'm not real big on dark rides with flashing lights). Anyways, if anyone out there has experience with this problem, could you advise me on what rides I should probably stay off of. I would hate to get sick on the 1st ride we do and then really mess up the rest of the park. Thanks bunches!

Hi........... I ALWAYS get sick on those spinning tea cups at disney.............. always!!! ( no, I don't go anymore!!) but, I've never gotten sick on anything at US/IOA. I don't do the coasters either though. But, Spidey, BTTF, MIB............ none of those bother me. I think you will pretty much be fine.

Have a great time!!!

I always take a half a dramamine before heading to the parks. This doesn't make me sleepy and takes the edge off the dizziness. I tend to get sick with spinning rides.

The Hulk and Dueling Dragons coasters certainly go FAST enough.
Spiderman is a simluator combined with visual effects. If you start feeling sick, just close your eyes--the car is hardly moving at all. Back to the Future is a simulator that does move quite a bit. You might want to skip it. If you can do Body Wars or Star Tours at WDW, you'll be okay on Back to the Future.

I used to take Dramamine but it made me drowsy. I now take Bonine. You can buy it at any drugstore. Also the "non-drowsy" Dramamine has the same ingredients as Bonine.

BTTF makes me feel queasy as it throws you around so much even though you are strapped in to the seat. It's very like the body wars/star tours one.

Okay...just thought of something that might help - I'll post a new thread....SICK FACTOR!! 5 = uuuuuGHHHHHHH (very sick!!!!!) 1= (nice tummies - I feel fine :D :D :D )
