Motion sickness sufferer...7001 or something on deck2?

I understand most people consider a Cat 10 on Deck 7 a good thing, though my number 1 concern is still motion sickness. Taking all into consideration, which would you choose? Also, are the Cat 10s on Deck 7 too far forward?

Hi Donna!
We were next door in 7003 on our last cruise and weren't aware at all of movement. Also loved the location - very little foot traffic and handy for getting up to Deck 9 for the pools or down to Deck 3 for the Clubs!

I have the same room booked for Sept 22 of this year. When are you cruising? I was also concerned with the motion being so far forward but was told by everybody to go with deck 7 over deck 2 no matter what. I usually only feel the motion the first night out and am OK after that. Post when you get back and tell me all about the cabin....

March 2th we have the room 7501. It is true that there is not a lot of traffic. However, we had rough sea. There was a lot of movement. At night we feel that the boat will turn over. My DD and I suffer seasickness but with medicine we were fine.

We had a Cat. 9 on Deck 2, 2575 if I remember correctly. WE NEVER felt any movement. Not even on the first night. This was mid-ship.

We're in 7005 on May 11th (Inaugural Western). I'll let you know. I am prone to motion sickness, and plan on using Bonine. When I took a trip to an aircraft carrier a couple years ago, I was able to feel the movement, particularly in my bunk (which was pretty far forward), so I think I'll be a good test case. Less than 4 weeks to go!

Lisa...PLEASE PM me and let me know what you think when you get back...I am major stressing over this. Some have told me that I would be nuts to give up a room on Deck 7 for 2, but...

Hi

We were on 4/6 7 day cruise in 8558 which is a floor up in the middle. Let me tell you...lots o rocking on that ship esp the first 3 days. I am prone to sea sickness, I took my bonine 24 hrs before and during the cruise and still managed to get sea sick at Palo's brunch no less! I spent about 48 hrs mainly laying around in bed and taking naps which helped.

Things calmed down by Tues, but I think bottom line you can get sea sick anywhere. The problem I ran into is that the places you eat dinner except Lumieres (which guess what was the last in our rotation) are in the back of the ship including, Palo's, Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay, and in the front of the ship, Topsidders...all of which had lots and lots of rocking. It got comical..people running into walls. The cast members said, this was a bad cruise, but not the worst by far.

Just be warned!

We were in 6004 on the Wonder in 2000 and also in 7509 on the
Magic last year and did not notice much motion at all.

Don't stress, my son is so prone to MS that he turns greeen when flying. We uses bonnine last trip and had no problem. He took it during the cruise also with no problem. We were on deck 6 midship. Take bonnine, if it does not work go straight to the ship doc and get something stronger, the faster you take care of it the better off you will be. Have a great trip.
