Motion sickness - Soarin vs Mission Space Green

I get every kind of motion sickness imaginable, including in a bath tub! I am pretty much OK on Soarin- although I occasionally close my eyes. I wouldn't dare try Mission:Space ANY color! We did FoP last summer. I took Bonine AND had a motion sickness patch but I just couldn't do it. I hunkered down on my flying machine, eyes closed, thankful that there was a breeze in my face. When the film would stop, my DD would say, "MOM open your eyes!" It WAS spectacular to look at, but the moment we started "flying" again, I had to close my eyes. I was queasy for about a half-hour after.

Goofy's Barnstormer kills me, worst ride ever for me, although the 7DMT is a close second. That bit at the end, where the vehicle stops outside the cottage? BARF CITY. I didn't vomit, but I could barely walk out of the ride. Yup, that was me, lying on the stone wall outside the ride, for about an hour. AWFUL. Needless to say, I don't attempt things like teacups or AstroOrbiter, hahaha!

I have motion sickness too and am fine on Soarin' but not ok on Mission Space Green or Star Tours. FOP is ok other than 5 seconds during the second half.

Funny thing about MS: The orange version was too rough for me, the green version is just boring. I'm all done with that attraction. I close my eyes intermittently on FOP if I start to get queasy, then I'm fine. The old Body Wars attraction was a total vomit comet for me, I managed to maintain the contents of my stomach but it was close.:earseek:

I often get motion sick on "virtual" rides, but have no problem at all on Soarin. Mission Space Green ruined me for a whole evening. Flight of Passage I am also fine on. Soarin and FOP are 2 of the best rides in Disney by far.

In relation to Star Tours, I don't think it's bad although you get into awkward places sometimes with how the seats move. I can get motion sickness sometimes but haven't yet at Disney (although there have been some rides I haven't tried)

Hi! I also get motion sickness. I do fine on Soarin but not Mission Space Green. I won't do that ride again. I can't imagine what Orange is like!

Let me help. Orange made me feel like someone was physically beating me from the inside out for about an hour and a half after--and gave me a claustrophobic freakout while riding, too. The feeling was as if my insides were shifted in a weird way, I'm sure because of the pressure of the centrifuge. 🙄

Soarin, no problem at all.

Thanks, everyone! Rode Soarin' in the B section without getting sick. The CM s seemed a little confused when I made the request, but we just had to wait for the next round. There seemed to be something else going on causing confusion; standby was 105 minutes.

I can do Soarin' with very little issue. Mission Space Green was just as bad as Star Tours and I was pretty nauseous afterward. Never did it again.

I get every type of sick there is whether it's car, sea, ride, swing, even airplane sick! Soarin has never made me feel ill. Never done mission space though for that reason.
My experience is you can want to enjoy something until the cows come home, but if your body disagrees there's very little you can do... don't jeopardise the whole day.
I found flight of passage made me slightly queasy, I would say FOP is more intense than soarin IMHO. 😊

I usually get motion sickness quite easily but I was fine on soarin!
Did not try Mission Space because of previous reports of motion sickness... so can’t comment on that one
Honestly soarin was one of my favorite rides ever!

Same here!
I do fine on Soarin. The old Star Tours I did have a mild queasiness on but after the upgrade I have no issues. Mission Space Green is fine for me but Orange is almost my limit.

I have been wondering if I could try Star Tours and the new Star Wars rides. Sounds like the upgrade may have helped the motion sickness issue I had previously - years and years ago!

Soarin was good. Mission space no way. Simply close you eyes or look away if you feel dizzy. works for me everytime

I have terrible motion sickness and can ride Soarin' and Mission Space Green with no issues. Note, I do use the prescription scopolamine patch for motion sickness for my trip.
