Motion sickness+Dramamine+Mission Space=?

Dh and I nearly got divorced on our honeymoon after he persuaded me onto Space Mountain in California. :crazy2:

Since when I decide what to go on and what not. Both DS are a bit dodgy travelling - elder is not too bad (although Indiana Jones backwards in Paris made him ill for at least an hour and has made him much less inclined to try things) younger VERY queasy on twisty roads (especially if hot)

We didn't do Mission Space, also missed Back to the Future (following advice on these boards). Dh and elder DS said Dinosaur was scary but not sick-making :Pinkbounc

Don't take the chance IMHO - plenty of things that will be fine for you without ruining your day! :wave2:

I love rollercoasters but can not stomach spinning rides or any simulators, but I knew that I had to ride Mission Space at least once.

Prior to leaving the hotel in the morning, I took dramamine. About one and a half hours later we were riding Mission Space......

I am about to reveal some details about the ride so skip the next part if you want to be totally surprised.

There is plenty of air blowing in your face for the entire ride, which helps tremendously. Lift off was worth experiencing. I remember thinking to myself that I actually am enjoying the ride until we hit the asteroid field. It was too jerky and I started feeling hot. I starting getting worried because I didn't know how long the ride would last. Once you land on Mars, the ride is over. If we had to make a return trip to Earth, I would have never made it.

When I left the ride, I was just a little sweaty and I felt fine by the time we left the post-show areas about a half hour later. The kids were sending video e-mails in that area and I was absorbing the air conditioning.

I'm glad that I did it. The next time I go, I'm going to try it again but you the bracelets that the previous poster mentioned.
