We are going to DL for the first time and we will happen to be there on Mother's Day. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to go and eat??

It depends on what meal of the day and what sort of dining you like. I would make a Priority Seating ASAP wherever you choose. A GREAT middle of the road choice would be Cafe Orleans, not too pricey and they serve the famous Monte Cristo Sandwich.

If you want a special dinner, go to Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55, but they're very pricey.

If you need suggestions check out the huge thread, My Disneyland Dining Trip Report, There are pictures of almost everything to be found at DL in there from snacks to gourmet.

Thanks....I think we are looking for something in between. Good food nice place. We will have the kids with us (2 girls) so it has to be child friendly.

Definitely go for Cafe Orleans, they have Mac-n-cheese for the kids, check out this link

it goes to a page of the Dining thread that I mentioned with a lot of pictures from Cafe Orleans including the Monte Cristo. This particular picture doesn't highlight the sandwich as much as others, but I read the whole thread (took me a week) and I'd have to say that the Monte Cristo is the most pictured food, then the baked potato soup from Carnation Cafe.

If you want a very personal and special experience and If you dont mind paying a little bit more, the Disneyland Hotel hosts a Mother's Day Brunch in the ballrooms. We went last year and had a blast. The food was terrific and there were several meet and greet areas set up for princesses and Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy. There are plenty of food choices for the kids, also as they set up special children's buffets!

You simply call DL Dining at 714-781-DINE and ask when reservations start. The price they post is often discounted at the door (it was last year) and if you have an annual pass, you can get a further discount.

We plan on going back, this year too! Look for a blog near the end of April on my experience last year. I have some fabulous photos that I can post up of the room and the food!

Is the price discounted at the door for everyone? And is this something that where you need an ADR?

I called today and I have a ressie for the Mother;s Day brunch at the Disneyland Hotel. You are right....it is expensive. But I think it is just what I wanted! Thank for letting me know about it

How much is expensive, just out of curiousity?

$70 an adult...$20 a child.

A little more that I like to spend, but it is Mother's Day and our first trip to DL. Might as well make it special....right
