Mother's Day...

Well, since something is wrong with the notification email thing, I'll just post my question here because I can't anywhere else... we always go to Disney World in June. This year we're thinking of going May 10-17. May 11th is Mother's Day. I know the crowds are usually lower in mid-May than in the summer, but I'm just curious if anyone has ever been there for Mother's Day, and if so, was it overly crowded? Thanks!

We've been there over Mother's Day for the past several years.
I did not think the parks were overly crowded.
IMO, early/mid May is one of the best times to visit WDW.

We ate dinner last Mother's Day at Crystal Palace...had a great time with little wait. I do remember though, that the crowd outside the restaurant was crowded (usually is) & there were several people there without ADRs trying to get a table.

DH & the kids got me a nice Minnie Mother's Day pin in Epcot last year...what a nice surprise!

we went a couple of years ago and the 3 days before Mother's Day was great, but we went to epcot on mothers day & it was packed, we left around lunch time to drive back home. Maybe it was just a fluke. But go anyway & have fun

Thanks for your opinions! I think we're still planning on going during Mother's Day... we just might not go to Epcot that day. I think it's probably been busy there in the past because they have a Mother's Day Brunch. I'm just excited to have time off to get to go earlier this year and not have to wait until June! Thanks for the help

DD and I will be going for a "girls only" trip Mother's Day weekend. We are really excited- we've been to WDW in summer, fall, and winter, but never springtime. It will be a short 2 night/3 day trip, but we plan on having a wonderful time! I will be interested to see what crowds are like this time of year- we might want to try and do WDW more in May if the weather and crowds are good.
