Last night my DD asked her daddy to take her shopping for me for mothers day, a typical request from a child too young to have her "own" spending money and WAY to young to drive. It got me thinking about next year (Christmas....Mothers day...birthday) when DH will be in Iraq. Who would take her shopping than (you know...its just not a surprize if you shop with them for it and pay for it too.....)
So my tip of the day for those of you with friends/family gone from them overseas....take the little ones out for a shopping trip for their mommy.....or daddy (cause their are alot of mommies gone right now too) you'll make the mommy smile but more importantly you'll make the kidlets happy and PROUD that they can still "do" for their parents what they did before daddy (mommy) went of to serve their country.
