Mothers day something special ?

Hello all we will be at WDW for 9 days in May I didn't realize that we would be there on Mother's Day ! It's our off day from the parks I have a 6 year old daughter and this will be our 1st trip is there something special that just her and I can do for some extra mommy daughter time on Mother's Day ??? While my hubby stays at the resort to rest ?!!! Thank you

We'll be arriving on Mother's Day and I also have been trying to think of ways to mark the day. We're bringing our nanny and her son on that trip, so I'm thinking we'll leave the boys with DH and she and I can head out to Jellyrolls after their bedtime .

Another idea was a fireworks cruise but we'll be up so early that day to travel that I'm not sure the kiddos will still be awake for fireworks.

You could make a mommy and me appt at the spa at the Grand Floridian. There is a tea room at Grand Floridian.
If you could get a reservation a late character breakfast (brunch) will be less hurried and very relaxing.

We'll be there for Mother's Day and my little girl and I are hoping to be able to do the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party.

This post reminds me of how my mother always sent ME a present on mothers day, with a card that said, "You made my day."

There are so many things you could do around different resorts that could be really special- mostly I'm sure all she wants to do is just be with you! Someone already mentioned the Grand Floridian and I think tea at the Grand Floridian would be so fun! If your daughter is more of outdoorsy, you could go to Fort Wilderness and fish. You could also go to downtown disney and do a little mild shopping.
