Mother's Day meals? NOT Epcot brunch?

I have zero interest in the hands-on gathering of food for six kids on Mother's Day :)

We'll be getting off the cruise ship that morning and spending two more days back at the parks before flying home.

Obviously, if I want something done right, I have to do it myself around here :rotfl:

So, I need a good dining recommendation for my own Mother's Day planning :)

Who else, besides Epcot, has a Mother's Day meal that is somewhat more special than just dining onsite any old day?

Thanks!

Hi,

Actually, your choices just got easier...there is no Mother's Day brunch at Epcot this year...

Enjoy your trip (and an early happy Mother's Day!).

Thanks, Bob!

I just checked here on the Dis and it had details for 09. When did it get cancelled?

We are having our Mother's Day dinner at Park Fare. Its's someplace we've always talked about going but never have and this way we get to wish the evil stepmother "Happy Mother's Day".:rotfl2:

I do not have any suggestions for you but you might want to make up your mind soon. All we could find in the MK area was Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner, all our other choices were booked all day (at least for a party of 2).

What were all of your choices?

Just curious, we'll be there on Mother's Day too. I have a breakfast ADR; I should probably try to make a dinner ADR since I don't think we'll want CS.

I was unable to get Tony's or LTT in the park (we are having CP for breakfest and Plaza for lunch). I also had no luck with Ohana or Kona unless we wanted to eat at 9pm. I have thought about calling back and asking them if anything is available for a table of 3 after what I read recently but I have decided to stick with GFC.

The best Sunday brunch in Orlando -- Mother's Day or any other -- is at La Coquina at the the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort. It's a beautiful setting, the dining room looks out to the golf course across a lake with swans. The food stations are in the kitchen, and when you're ready for your entree, you step up to the counter and order it from the chef, who prepares it fresh. It isn't cheap, but it is special. I have other brunches listed on my guide under "Restaurant Features."

I have my whole Mothers Day planned... Breakfast at Cape May Cafe, then head to the boardwalk for some shopping. Back to the hotel for a rest/swim and then we are off to MK. We will take the monorail over to the Poly for our dinner at Ohana. I figure Ohana means Family- what better way to end my Mothers Day with my family at Ohana!

We are arriving on Mother's Day (only way to have my family to myself on Mother's Day is to take them on vacation).

We are going to Teppan Edo. It looks like a lot of fun!!

We're going to CAPE MAY BUFFET for Mother's Day Breakfast too... WOO HOO! and then dining at the CASTLE for dinner! ..
