I know that Epcot nowadays offers a Mother's Day Brunch for big bucks, but I remember something very different.
I can't remember exactly what year we were there, but it was sometime in the mid 1990's. I was there with my young daughter and my parents. When we arrived at Epcot the morning of Mother's Day, we saw a sign at the entrance, telling us that all mothers in attendance with their children would be treated to a free lunch at any World Showcase restaurant that day.
We got a PS (priority seating - the ADR of the day) for the Rose and Crown that same day, and my mom and I both got our lunches free! We even got a free carnation, too.
Can you imagine Disney offering such a thing now?
