Hello! I am brand new to your boards! I went to Disneyland for the first time last year for my 30th birthday. With my family of 6! We live in my the middle of California and we drove down. But that is a whole other story!!
We are going May 6th -May 11th. We will be there for my husband 32nd B-day and mothers day. I am looking for information on Mothers day in the park and any good ideas on how to celebrate an adults b-day at the park. So, I have come to pick your brains! LOL!! Could anyone tell me what goes on for Mothers day in the park ...I know about the Mothers Day brunch for 80 something an adult, but that is a little steep for me. I'd love to hear anything you know about it. Do they do anything special anywhere else?

I came here to find any info on Mother's Day too. We just changed our GCH reservation to 5/10. I hope you get a lot of great answers to your questions...:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 How funny!! I have googled the subject to death and I haven't found out very much! :confused3 SO I am hoping that I get some help too!

Hi all! This is my very first post, and our very first trip to Disneyland!! I was wondering the same thing about Mother's Day, it will be our first day in Disneyland. :)
thanks!
Val

Okay so this is all I can find I guess many years ago there was a tea with Marry Poppins if I understand right. I just don't think I can justify that much money for a buffet....I keep going back and forth...
Has anyone heard of anything else??? I have only been to DL once ever it was last year for my 30th B-day...

I'm also wondering about Mother's Day. Also is it busier on Mother's Day than other Sundays?

I honestly don't know of anything else going on.

I have 12 noon reservations for the Mother's Day brunch. I'm very excited about it. I figure, if I only get the chance to do it once - what the heck! Living a little is what life is all about. I know I will get memories from it and that is what matters to me. I can't wait to see my girls' reactions.

That and I hear the food selection simply rocks. I know the food that was done by banquet services for my GCH wedding in 2001 is still the talk of many of our guests!

FYI - Mother's Day can be busier. I guess it will depend on the economy. I think the ticket booths actually seem busier this year than in years past. Maybe it's just the Celebrate promotion for birthdays, holding up the normal speed of the lines.

We went on Mother's Day and I was expecting it to be much more crowded than it was. I've seen posts where some people felt that it has been very crowded on that day, but I am used to off-season crowds and I didn't think it was bad at all. To me, it was no worse than any other weekend that we've been. It was much more crowded on some of the weekdays following Mother's Day, as there were tons of school, youth groups etc., esp. on Tuesday. One nice (and free!) thing that the park does on Mother's Day is to give out carnations for all the Moms to wear .There are tables of them as you enter the parks, and my DS loved picking one out for me to wear that day. :) We would definitely go back on Mother's Day if we could. :)

We are going Mothers Day for the first time this year. I can't wait! I am sure it will be busy but from eveything I have heard it's not much busier than any other weekend day in Disneyland. :thumbsup2 See you all there! :cheer2:
