Mothers day ideas?

So I might be in the world this upcoming Mother's Day, I am wondering if there is anything special going on? Nothing is listed on the website but I was wondering if WDW announces anything special I should know before I plan. I am thinking about doing an Epcot day with some drinks and snacks around the world, we would fly out the next afternoon. I will be ther with my husband and two kids. Thanks!

I have been there for several Mother's Day. They usually give every woman (mother or not) a carnation when you come in the parks. Most of the restaurant discounts (like Tables in Wonderland) are blacked out. I kind of remember them doing some type of special brunch at the Grand Floridian the one year. But other than that, nothing else special.

Epcot/World Showcase is a great spot to spend Mother's Day though. Especially since the Flower and Garden show is still going on then

I like your Epcot idea and plan on trying it this year! I did not notice anything different about the day (last mothers day)other than spending it at WDW is pretty awesome!!!

It's funny I was looking at dates for my daughters birthday then realized it would mean we were there for Mother's Day. Super excited! I've only been in October and November. However now I am debating because I might like Star Wars weekends too...#disneyworldproblems

I'd like to hear what Mother's Day is like, too!

We're flying in very early the morning on Mother's Day & will be in the Magic Kingdom that day (I can't do any other park on arrival day).

Do you think MK will more or less crowded than usual?

I LOVE that my Mother's Day will be spent in Disney! We didn't plan it that way on purpose, but I'm glad that's what we'll be doing (we usually spend Mother's Day at the beach, my other "happy place").

It really has no impact on the crowds. The restaurants might be a bit more busy (and again most dining discounts are blacked out) but there is no impact on crowds really at all. One of my favorite times to visit. We have done that week in May 3 times over the last 6 years.
