Mother's Day Brunch?

Please tell me about it. I am considering treating DM to it next year. The cost is rather high, so I am just wondering if it is worth it.

We went several years ago and that was our first and last time. It was not worth it at all for us. If you have a car when you're in town, try the Mother's Day Brunch at the Rosen on I-Drive. We now go there every year and it's fabulous!

My daughter and I took lucysmom last year and she loved it. The decorations were nice and there were lots of food choices. I've seen bad reviews, but have never quite understood them except for the price. We had a great time. There were strolling minstrels playing some old instruments like lutes and such. It's typical breakfast fare plus a couple of carving stations and salad bars and lots of dessert choices.

I never rent a vehicle so we won't be able to go off property.

I saw an old review that said there were a few characters there like the Fairy Godmother and Mary Poppins. Do they still do that? If so, do they have Photopass photographers available?

We went in '06. It was me, DH, DM and DSis, as well as family of friends who lived in Florida. We loved it, thought the food was very good, atmosphere was nice with the musicians. We had lots of interaction with Mary Poppins and Bert. We received pictures, one for me, DSis, and DMom included in the price. It was of the 3 of us, together. I think every woman recieved a picture.

I did it this year and probably would not again. The food was good, but it was in the millinium building. I think our table number was 245. With that said, very impersonal, like being in a cafateria. Not something I would want to "treat" my wife to again.
