Has anyone ever attended the Mother's Day Brunch at Epcot???? We'll be down there for mother's day...is it worth the price???

We attended the Mother's Day Brunch this past May. I was very disappointed. The food was okay, but the service was AWFUL. :sad2: We also thought there would be a lot more character interaction. I had read that in 2005 the had characters that roamed around interacting at the tables. All we got was Mary Poppins and Bert at the front door. They were nice, but they were it. We also got a free picture of our group in front of a gloomy backdrop. They must have had the worst ever PhotoPass photographer ever! Our pics were horrible! I will try to post them. I would rather have had breakfeast at Chef Mickey's. It was over $200 for four adults and two children. No one told us to pay before we went in. They just showed us to our table. There was a card on the table but it ended up just being to tell the waiter how many people we had. I even asked the waiter and he said it was all taken care of. Stupind me  , on the way out I asked to make sure the bill was okay and they said "Did you not pay when you came in?" I said no, no one told us to. So then we paid. I could have easily walked out and never looked back. I couldn't do it, it would have eaten me up. Oh yeah, you can't use your dining experience discount or dining plan for this. :furious:

We went in 03 and 05 and had wonderful experiences both times! The food was very good and the service great. There are multi pods of food set up around the huge room. You can wander around and try all kinds of food. The desserts were very good.

In 03, there weren't many characters, but in 05, Mickey, Minner, Perer Pan and a few others were out front greeting people and posing for pics.

My family tried the brunch a few years ago. We found it very unmemorable and not worth the money. The food was so-so, although plentiful, and the service was not very good either. Almost every single one of our other WDW dining experiences has been good, and I don't feel we are particularily picky, so this was an atypical experience for us.

In 05 we had a Mother's Day Brunch at Cape May Cafe with all the characters......it was crowded, but WONDERFUL! Goofy brought around pink roses for all the moms & the characters insisted on getting pics with "mom". It was a wonderful way for a mom to spend her mother's day!
