Has anyone eaten at Epcot's Mother's Day Brunch? It's pretty darn expensive - even compared to normal WDW buffet prices...

I DO want to do something special on MD!

Worth the $ or not?

TIA
Robin

I was there last year. I thought the food was wonderful great selection. I thought it was worth the price. They had someone playing the piano is was very relaxing.

Ooh - that sounds yummy!

I am so excited right now. My hubby has to go to Orlando the week before Mom's Day and invited the kids and I down for the weekend! I got a FABULOUS Travelocity deal this morning and now I can plan my dining ressies! Any other Mom's Day suggestions out there would be appreciated - can't believe I get to go to Disney on Mom's Day! Wanna see my happy dance? :cheer2:

We went last year. It was a very different experience to any other I have had at WDW mostly due to the venue. Some of the food was good and some of it was ok. None of the 7 adults thought it was worth paying $48 for it. I would not book it again. If I was taking my mom this year I'd probably try the Tea at the GF. She doesn't live in the UK like me so it would be something different for her.

I have no idea if its worth it or not but I made a ressie for it a week ago for noon, for me, dh and my 3 kids.

I hope I like it. And I hope my kids aren't out of place. I asked before I made the ressie and they said they would be fine.

It was expensive.

The kids will be fine. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. It's just needs to come down in peice about $15 for adults and $10 for kids.

Thanks! I thought they would be considering it was a Mothers Day Brunch but the price was kind of intimdating and hearing about pianists and strolling musicians etc didn't help.

Thanks again!

I went ahead and booked for 10:30 on Sunday - I AM glad there is the 48 hour cancellation policy, so if we blow too much money early in our trip, we can still cancel LOL.

I'd still love to hear more from those who have eaten here!

I'm also trying to figure out where the brunch is served. I remember eating in some huge building when we were there for a travel agent program - it was on a second floor and it had huge windows with a lovely view of the park - but since we were bussed in a back way, I have no real clue where we were in EPCOT. :confused3

we did it 3 years ago. it was no better of worse than any other WDW buffet we've had, but it is overpriced. my wife prefers having mother's day at the crystal palace.

We went a couple years ago - I thought the food was good- but that the venue was anything BUT relaxing - it's HUGE! If you go during a crowded time- there might be something like 500 other diners in there. It was also fairly loud - with lots of excited children running around (not complaining about that - it is "Mother's Day" after all!). So if you are looking for relaxing, quiet or intimate then you might want another choice.

I won't do it again - I didn't think it was worth the money. Jill

My family did the Mother's Day Brunch a few years ago. It was very unmemorable, and as other's have said, overpriced. I did not like the atmosphere and our service was terrible. This is not something my family would do again.

I agree that for the money, I would not do this Brunch again. We went two years ago when my mother was visiting, and it is not on my "Top Ten" list.

Although the food was good, and plentiful, the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. Many many many tables in a very large convention hall type room!

Thanks for all the opinions.

I would like it to specifically be a brunch (DH loves breakfast stuff and I prefer lunch stuff - so it's the best of both worlds for us).

I saw the list of standard buffet choices, but are any of the Disney restaurants doing a brunch too?
