Hey all!

I'm not sure how you pick out mothers' corsages - do you use flowers from your wedding colors or something different to match what they're wearing. I have the MOG wearing pink and the MOB wearing blue. So I'm thinking white roses for both. What do you think? Do you have any pictures of them from your wedding?

TIA!

Love, ME! :goodvibes

My mother's matched my Dh's and my bouquet:

Here is my mom. This is the only picture I have of her corsage. At least a close one anyway. I had ivory tea roses for the mothers. I figured I would just do the green color for the ribbon. It was sheer so it didn't stand out too much. It ended up matching the the mom's outfits though.

Our florist recommended matching the mother's corsages with their dress color (not necessarily the wedding colors), so that is definitely an option.

I have never heard of a nosegay before but i really like. It is very pretty I will have to think about using that

I had a "flower purse" for my mom and she loved it! It was large enough inside for a few things like her lipstick and cellphone :goodvibes

My mom carried a bouquet and Tim's mom wanted a corsage. I did pink for both of them.

I know my step-mom wants a corsage, but my FMIL would love this!! Do you remember how much it was or anything? TIA!!

BTW thanks everyone for their pictures and thoughts! Extremely helpful as always!! :goodvibes

I know exactly what you mean, only in the opposite way; my MIL just wanted a regular corsage.

It was $50 at the time of my wedding in 2008, so I'm sure it hasn't gone up that much. I'm probably also varies based on the flowers too. Here was my description from the floral budget.
"Small ivory 'Flower bag' purse with floral cluster of dusty miller, lavender freesia and light blue delphinium accents."

my flower colors are going to be medium pink and light pink, but i really want to get my mom a corsage with apricot roses because those are her favorite and thats what she had when her and my dad got married but i don't know if that will look completely stupid. i was thinking of doing white roses and maybe like 1 or 2 apricot ones but im not sure yet. did anyone do a totally different color for the moms corsage?

I haven't had my wedding yet, but I did just have my planning session. My mom is going to be my matron of honor, but the step moms are going to have a ranunculus attached to a ribbon that hangs from the wrist.
