My mother and I were surprised with a little trip by my father. I was just wondering what you think would be something cool to do with my mother. Shes not one for scary bumpy get that feeling in your stomach rides but she will go on them.

Any ideas?

You might get a PS for the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. We enjoyed it last trip. How about a Spa Treatment?

I 2nd the afternoon tea. I did my first tea room this week and loved it. It was perfect for a girls lunch. Now I am dying to try try the one at WDW.

I agree about the ADORABLE baby!
About the Mother son thing go on a carriage ride at PO or FW. I always thought this would be great at dusk!

How about booking an illumination's cruise?
That's a really nice way to see the fire works at Epcot or taking one of the behind the scene tours. :)

A tour is a great idea, if mom can handle the walking. We did Keys to the Kingdom back in May, and were dead tired afterward. It's 4 1/2 to 5 hours of virtually non-stop walking (there is a 30-45 minute stop for a sit-down lunch, which is included in the tour).

how can i get more info on the keys tour and how much is it.. is it too late to book if im leavin on August 4th?

Try this site for info on the tours, along with guest reviews:

There are quite a few tours, but I think "Keys" is a great place to start. Cost is about $60 per person, but DVC members, Annual Pass holders and anyone with a Disney Visa will get a 15-20% discount. Counter service lunch is included (they will take your order before the tour begins, and the meal will already be laid-out in a private room at the restaurant when your tour group arrives.)

It shouldn't be too late to book. I believe they run 3 tours per day, each with about 20 guests. The number to call is 407-WDW-TOUR. You do need to have a credit card, which will be charged at the time of the booking. Ask about the cancellation / refund policy if there's a chance your plans will change.

I've been reading these forums regularly for a couple of years now, and there was still a LOT of new info that we got from the KttK tour. Highly recommended!
