Most value (bang for buck) TS restaurants?

Hi Everyone,

My family and I go to DW about twice a year and we sometimes get the regular Dining Plan (1 QS and 1 TS) when we want to try new restaurants for dinner and we think the DP will save us money. With that in mind, what TS restaurants give you the most value for your dinner dining credit (or credits, in the case of a sig restaurants) that are not the ones you typically think of (such as Ohana, Chef Mickeys, Akershus, etc.). I realize that all of the "buffet" and character types of restaurants give you a big bang for your buck, but are there other restaurants that you don't usually think of that do as well? So far, for this upcoming trip in August, I have dinner reservations at Whispering Canyon Cafe (family platter), Chefs de France (Prix Fixe menu) and Mama Melrose (Fantasmic package; includes appetizer as well) booked. I feel that by using adult and child TS credits at these restaurants, will save us money as compared to if we paid out of pocket.

Are there other not-as-popular restaurants that you can think of that would be a good addition to my reservation list?

Thanks for your suggestions.

In some cases, it does depend on what you order. Every restaurant tends to have at least one menu item that is on the pricey side and one on the low end. In general, I would look for places where the entree price is in the mid-to-high-20s as generally a good use of a TS credit.

Some places that do have high priced entrees: Tutto Italia (Epcot), Rainforest Cafe (AK, DTD), Les Chefs de France, Tokyo Dining, etc.

As mentioned above, it depends on what you order. You can view the menu and costs. Dinner is more expensive than breakfast or lunch and character meals seems to be the most in my own research (e.g. Akershus, Ohana's, Fantasmic Packages, Cape May, etc)
