Most Romantic Restaurant?

Hey all! So, DF and I are headed to WDW for our honeymoon (YAY!!!). We've been to DL many times but this will be our first WDW trip I was wondering what you think are the most romantic restaurants (not including V&A's)? I know it's WDW so there will always be kids everywhere, but I figure some places have gotta be better for couples than others, right? Also, if you have any tips about when to go to meals, etc (for a more HM-friendly ambiance ), that would be much appreciated too! Thanks!

Really depends on what your budget is and what kind of food you are looking for I'd guess. Why is V&A out?? Here are some suggestions: For any of the restaurants, it seems like going to a later dinner might be better than peak time, to avoid as many kids as possible.

Bisto De Paris (upstairs above France in the World Showcase in Epcot). Very pricey, but apparently one of the best meals you may ever have...ever. My Aunt and Uncle went there for an anniversary meal and they both said it was the best meal they've ever eaten.

Flying Fish Cafe (on the Boardwalk). I have been there and it was great. Like you said, there were some kids, but since it is pricey and a Signature Dining...you are less likely to find a bunch of rugrats in there. They had GREAT seafood and my SIL got steak and seemed to really like it. The decor in the FF is great as well.

Yachtsman Steakhouse (at the Yacht and Beach Club). Haven't been but based on the reviews and the fact that this is also a Signature Dining, I would guess the atmosphere is equally as nice.

California Grill in the Contemporary followed up a viewing of Wishes on the observation deck.

If you are looking for more moderate but still with a nice atmosphere - try near the tank at Coral Reef in Epcot, Le Cellier in Canada in WD at Epcot or even San Angel Inn (although some would argue that the food isn't good for the price - I think the ambiance makes up for it).

Bistro is probably the second best restaurant in all of WDW, after V&A. It definitely is fine dining. Unlike V&A which does not allow anyone under ten years old, Bistro does allow children but they do not have a children's menu. And since it is fine dining (long meals) they do discourage small children.

I do think V&A and Bistro are the nicest, most romantic places at WDW. I also think Jiko, late at night after the kid groups have left, is also romantic with it's darkened lighting and excellent menu at the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge.

FF and CG have excellent food but are both noisy and have tables close enough together that they don't provide as much privacy. Narcoosees and Citricos, at the GF, are both really nice too if you get in late enough to miss the busy time. Narcoosees has beautiful lagoon views that can be quite romantic if you snag a window table.

I also really like bluezoo at the Dolphin.

We just had a wonderful romantic dinner at Narcoosees with a 9:40 ADR. Seemed too late to me, but was actually perfect as Wishes was at 10pm. They piped in the music, and everyone went out on the veranda to see and hear the fireworks. Was beautiful! Highly recommend -- food was excellent too.

Thanks for all the great recs! We're going to have the deluxe dining plan because I want to try out all the yummy-sounding signature restaurants, so price isn't really an issue for anything that's on the plan! I was thinking about V&A's, but neither of us are really huge foodies and we just can't justify the cost, on top of how expensive the rest of the trip is! Maybe some day...

Narcoosees is very nice. If you do go make sure you get you reservations around fireworks and ask for a window seat

My first choice would be Jiko. Last trip DH, D adultS and I had a great quiet meal there. We shared a bottle of South African wine recommended by our server and enjoyed a delicious meal. That night I didn't see a single child in the restauarant.
Jiko is beautiful, has low lighting and is quiet for WDW.
I have never eaten at the Bistro, but I agree about Narcoosee's too.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and have a wonderful trip.

If by romantic you mean relatively kid free, you should dine later in the evening no matter where you go.
The most adult friendly spots we've found are, unfortunately, not on the DDP. They would be Blue Zoo, Shulas and Il MUlino.
Of the Disney restaurants your best bet would be Bistro, followed by Citrico's.

Just an FYI - I suggested Bistro as a romantic restaurant in WDW but I didn't know you would be trying to use your Dining Plan credits for it. Bistro is not one of the restaurants that participates in the DDP (at least not in years past).

We went to Artist Point for the first time on our one year anniversary. It was so nice, the manager visited our table midway through our dinner and made a fuss of us, my husband said he loved the meal and shame we could not come back as they were full booked. The manager handed him his personal card and asked if we wanted to come back anytime then do so.

We cancelled Narcoessos (sp?) later on that week and the manager got us a table. We thought that was red carpet treatment, but it didn't finish there, we got a free sample of everything on the menu and free champange toast during our meal. My husband was panicked that were we being charge but we only charge for the meal.

The view at the resturant was lovely and it was very quiet for being in Disney.

It is loving at Wildness Lodge to walk around the grounds - it was very romantic. We are doing all again at Christmas, and it even persuded is to stay there this time coming.

Virtually all of the signature restaurants probably would qualify as "romantic" in someone's opinion, as they are generally quieter (other than Cal Grill), have better food and wine lists and allow for a longer meal. I would also throw the S/D restaurants (Shula's, Il Mulino and Blue Zoo) in that category as well.

I also agree that Bistro de Paris is a very romantic setting (I was there once on Valentine's Day, and a couple got engaged during the meal; it was very sweet). The food is very good there, but not quite as good (imo) as many of the other signature restaurants (and not one of the best meals you will have ever).
