I was wondering which Disney Resort you found to be the most romantic and why?
I am planning my 2nd honeymoon and would love to hear your opinions.

Thanks so much!

Which ever resort I'm at! ;)

"But seriously folks".......

GF and the Poly are wonderful in their own ways for romance and seculsion. ::yes::

Enjoy!

I'd have to say that Port Orleans Riverside was the most romantic resort we ever stayed in. Now we've only stayed in two (POR and AKL) but we've visited all the other deluxes several times. I like the Poly, but it doesn't feel romantic. The Comtemporary not at all romantic to me. The Y and BC seem big and impersonal. I love the Boardwalk and I imagine the garden suites to be romantic. I do love the Grand Floridian and if we ever stayed there I might change my idea about the most romantic. For now though, the beautiful mansion section, with the gazebo and iron arch walk ways, next to the winding river and rose garden, just feels so "lovey". It was our first trip and the only trip with out a child, so maybe that explains it some.

Next trip is the Wilderness Lodge. We'll see, but I don't think it will be more romantic either.

CSR. Take a night time stroll around the lake, visit some of the courtyards and fountain areas of the resort or relax in the hot tub.

Of the resorts I have stayed at, I truly think the AKL is the most romantic - absolutely LOVE the feel there!

Wilderness Lodge has been the most romantic for us. We had our Honeymoon there as well.

DH and I thought AKL was incredibly romantic. We liked the fact that you felt so "away from it all" when you were at the resort. The theming and ambiance are perfect for a 2nd honeymoon!

Looks like just about all of them have been named so far. My Dh and I loved Beach Club. I guess one can find romance almost anywhere. I will say, however, that although we liked All Stars Movies "ok", I would NOT call it romantic.

Port Orleans Riverside.
Strolling down by the river or though the grounds. The place is beautiful, peaceful and so romantic.

I think any one of them can be romantic, if you make it so!;) Although I would say that there are probably a few that "lend" themselves more to quiet strolling, and hand-holding. IMHO, I would say WL, Poly, CSR, AKL would be the top 4. OKW has a lot of nice grounds to stroll, but it feels more like a little town than a romantic vacation spot to me.

I'm with Disney Doll. You need to go with what ever theme seems to suit your tastes. I would probably avoid POP and the All Stars and there are way too many kids and groups staying there. We have stayed at many of the others and it is usually just me and my DH. You can make most of them into a wonderfully romantic get away. ;)

Boardwalk Inn Water View. If you want quiet, request a garden view of Epcot....and Illuminations. If you want a little excitement, request a water view overlooking the boardwalk. We did BWI on our honeymoon with a room with a balony right over Spoodles. The lights at BWI and YC/BC are amazing at night, as is strolling around the lagoon. Also, a real quick walk to Epcot which I think is really romantic at night.
ps...we stay at YC with DS (6) now b/c I think it's more family oriented but the lights and views are still the best!

From my own personal experience, I'd have to say WL. We find it very romantic with lots of quiet secluded areas and the relaxing music. Strolling by the waterfall and creek is very romantic. The resort has a really cozy feel to it, yet also refreshing.

Now, I am guessing from all of my research that BWI would also be very romantic, especially in a Garden Suite. It seems like a very romantic resort, and with such close proximity to World Showcase, you can take a stroll "around the world" at night and enjoy some great meals. If I were planning a romantic trip, I think this would be probably be my first choice.

I would have to say either Boardwalk or Grand Floridian. Great for a stoll at night after a romantic dinner!

I've stayed at only one and I would second some other posters view of POR. I would put POFQ in there too.
* Beautiful landscaped grounds with ambient lighting for a nighttime walk around the grounds and river.
* Horse carriage rides
* Boat to Downtown Disney.
* Probably the biggest con of POR is the lack of a romantic restaurant. Boatwrights is good, but not too romantic.
