Most Romantic Hotel

The most romantic place we have stayed is the AKL (perhaps that is because it was our last trip pre-children? ) We had an exotic view of the animals from our balcony... the pool is serene and wonderful... Jiko has the most amazing food... it seemed like we were a million miles away.

While I'm sure the GF will be wonderful, have you considered Port Orleans Riverside? If you're not going to use the spa and the special amenities at GF and are just looking for a truly romantic location, you may want to look at POR. In the evening I watched the beautiful horse drawn carriage with a young couple aboard, travel throughout our resort. During the day, the quiet pool just outside our door at Magnolia Terrace (a mansion) was nearly empty. Never did we share this pool with more than 3 people. Everyone was at the main pool. The boat ride to Downtown Disney, while not necessarily romantic, is such a nice, peaceful ride. This is just a suggestion. I have not stayed at a Deluxe and after speaking with my son who is 22 yrs old and spent time at both the Contemporary Resort and Yacht & Beach Club, would only stay at POR. In any instance, have fun making those Disney memories!

You may want to consider the Swan & Dolphin. My hubby and I stay there on a "Romantic Getaway" a couple years ago. We got a great rate, we requested an Epcot view and was able to see the fireworks from our balcony. It is such a beautiful resort as well. Good Luck

Thank you all so much for your reports. I just talked to a CM who said that it is very difficult to get a view of MK from GF. Bummer. We are the Brady Bunch when we travel with the kids, so I definitely am not looking for that feel at all. My DH said that any reservation is fine with him as long as I was happy. Aaahhh! I think I will take full advantage and book the Grand Floridian. We will probably use the spa and I am sure we will get plenty of time on the beach. Yipee! Can you believe I don't even feel guilty leaving the kids!
