I would love to book a hotel with a more romantic vibe to it, however, having stayed in many of the on property hotels, I can’t recall any that stand out…. The rooms are all similar, other than the actual resort grounds… Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations? I want on property, but I didn’t know if anyone knew of any suites or specialty rooms at any of the hotels that might be ideal.. TIA

Romantic room, romantic entrance to the room, or romantic resort? Not sure what you are looking for

My 2 cents on romantic:

Value: Art Of Animation
Moderate: Port Orleans French Quarter
Deluxe: Grand Floridian
Non Disney: Four Seasons

I would say room and resort grounds. Is there such a thing as a romantic room at Disney? Ive stayed most places there and have never found one spectacular..

I’d be a Moderate or Deluxe person, my personal faves are POR and GF or AKL in the categories respectively.
I did look into 4 Seasons, its an option…any experience there?

The Four Seasons is a spectacular experience! It puts all Disney hotels to shame.

This is a good write-up of what it's like:

With most most of its amenities still closed, I'd stay away from the AKL right now. We were there in December and it felt like a ghost town. Normally, we love AKL. My spouse is a giraffe nut.

We have a 4-night stay at the GF in 2019, with another planned for this month. GF is nice but not in the same league as the Four Seasons.

POR is a wonderful Moderate Resort, but I think of it more of a place for families. POFQ advantage is its smallness (half the size of any other Moderate) and its New Orleans theming is, IMO, more romantic for couples.

By the way, my spouse and I like hotel hopping. We'll spend 2 or 3 nights at one hotel and then transfer to another. (Did a split stay at WL and the Swan for our most recent trip.)

But we have a car with us so this is relatively easy to do. We are also more pool people than park people, spending at least as much time at the pool as we do at the parks.

For a more adult stay, you could consider the Beach Club or Boardwalk. That puts you within walking distance of Epcot's World Showcase. It's a great place to stroll about, eating and drinking while the sun sets, and then being able to walk back to the room.

I do love the beach/yacht club. The location is perfect. Are there suites or better rooms that anyone has stayed at there?

lots of people like to do split stays, never been my thing, but I appreciate the info

Romantic can mean different things to different people, and, even then, it can mean different things at different times. I find Poly to be romantic, along with Animal Kingdom. Boardwalk can be romantic for a midnight stroll. Grand Floridan seems really nice, but I don't see it as "romantic."

Boardwalk Inn has several garden suites (2 levels) that look very romantic from the outside. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to go inside.

I guess it depends on your definition of romance. I'd be thrilled if hubby took me to AKL.

I love AKL… but the rooms are quite bland aside from the view. I was hoping to find something better than a typical Disney room
