We are traveling with 2 kids who have got to have naps and parents who need a good nights sleep! Have reservations for garden view in October. Any suggestions on building or room requests?

We just got back last week and our room was VERY quiet. I think as long as you don't stay in any of the rooms that are in a lobby you should be OK. We found the lobby area to be a little echo-y from all the excitement that was going on. You would especially want your room away from the elevator, which is also in the lobby. My husband and I often commented how we would hate to have the rooms next to the elevator.

You may also want to bring a small fan or sound conditioner for white noise.

We found our tower room in Boca Chica to be a little noisy with the pool action. Marina rooms in Conch and lagoon in Big Pine were both quiet though.

Magsmouse, if noise is an issue, stay away from the rooms that face the lagoon in Conch Key. Those horns on the Water Taxis can be quite annoying. Also, any lagoon view room will hear the loud Electrical Water Pageant that floats by the resort every evening. Just a word to the wise for those who need their beauty sleep. Since you'll be in a "garden" view room, you should be okay, however, some of those garden view rooms might be awfully close to the areas that I mentioned and thus you would hear those noises.

All in all, I love the rooms that I warned you about. But I am a night owl (with similar children) and we find we don't need much sleep (especially while at WDW). ;)

This is all my humble opinion and others' opinions may vary, as it should be.
