I've been reading the thread on the most disappointing TS restaurant at WDW and it has me rethinking some of my plans for our trip in December using the DDP.

What was everyone's most pleasant experience at a TS restaurant (taking into account food, service and overall experience?)

I had two wonderful experiences! I had a third that was above what I expected. (I couldn't help but mention them in the disappointing thread too)

Victoria & Albert's - Quite simply my most amazing dining experience ever. Service was impeccable, and the food was out of this world. TRULY amazing!

Jiko - Very good food and a wonderful attentive server. Fantastic!

LeCellier was above what I expected. The fillet melted in my mouth, so tender you could have cut it with a fork. The server was also very sweet and attentive.

I really liked our Beaches & Cream experience. Nothing extraordinary happened, but it was a simple meal with a great server who made us feel very welcome and comfy. We didn't have to wait or ask for anything-our server took good care of us:goodvibes Food was great and a very pleasant atmosphere and not too crowded.

Just a perfect and simple lunch :thumbsup2

My most pleasant TS memory is lunch at LeCellier in March 2007. We were seated exactly at our ADR time, The server was wonderful, she was from the Yukon and was telling my daughter stories from when she was her age. The food was fast, hot, and the best Fillet Mignon I have had in a looong time. The desert was even better, my daughter had the chocolate moose, it was so cute, and I had the chocolate cake that was so rich, it was out of this world! We left that restaurant full, happy, and ready to continue our day. :)

50's Prime Time is always my favorite overall, but if you're not looking for crazy antics and just a plain old pleasureable meal - I liked Liberty Tree Tavern best.

The food is "normal" - nothing weird, nothing fancy, just regular old home cooking type food. The characters are very available for photo ops and the setting is just comfortable. Very pleasant place to dine.:) :)

le cellier for dinner and chef mickeys for breakfast.I loved the shrimp cocktail with some type of coleslaw as the base, extremely refreshing(a little spicy),the filet mignon was like butter.only complaint was the table location, but its such a small place, there really arent to many options.Chef mickeys for breakfast was a real delight.
Other than sci fi for dinner,i dont think any place we ate was less than expected.

Everytime to V&A is special.

Excluding those meals, I would say a lunch once at Portabello Yacht Club in DTD. We had an outside table, it was a gorgeous unurried and uncrowded meal. It's rare to feel that privacy and relaxation at WDW so this one stands out in my memory.

We have been so lucky to have had lots of great TS dining experiences at WDW, but the two stand out in my mind were:

1) Narcoosee's (everytime we go it's wonderful) We usually make our ADR for
7-8pm, so we can see the fireworks across the lagoon. Just love going out on the veranda with a glass of wine, hand in hand with DH.

2) Shula's at the Dolphin, was a romantic candlelit meal with awesome food and great service.

:lovestruc
Oddly enough, our most romantic dinner ended up being at the Coral Reef. Lots and lots of bad reviews come out of Coral Reef, and admittedly, we have had one bad experience out of five there. However, our last trip in December, we had a ressie for 8:40 p.m. We requested to wait as long as possbile for a aquarium window table, but within 5 minutes we were seated at a aquarium window table! It was quieter because it was later in the evening. Our meal was good, the server was attentive, and the magic was on......

It would probably be a tie between Le Cellier and Kona Cafe. Le Cellier for lunch and Kona for dinner. We love the food and service and continue to go back trip after trip!

Our favourite TS experience is actually at Ohana. We tried it for the first time last trip and loved it. :goodvibes

Our ressies had gotten mixed up but they fixed it for us and we still got in right away when the restaurant opened for dinner.

We had a great table next to the window, and immediately had two 'cousins' waiting on us. Our food was always fresh and tasty (and plentiful!), our drinks were always full. The cousins were so attentive and friendly - we barely had time to finish a course before they were bringing out seconds or the next round of food.
We don't have children, but really enjoyed watching all the kids do coconut races around the restaurant.

And desert was delicious. Mmmmm....

And although they were very fast with service, we never felt pressured to eat quickly or leave soon.

I keep reading all these bad reviews for the place, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that next time we eat there it's as great as the first time.

We like 50's PTC for a fun, flavorful, fantastic dining experience. :thumbsup2 But when we want something a little more subdued, it's hard to beat the atmosphere, service, and food at Narcoossee's. :)

I have had nothing but pleasurable dining experiences at Disney. Every restaurant or server can have an off night from time to time. You will always hear more about bad experiences people have had rather than the good, even though the good far outweigh the bad.

You'll also notice that there are people who have been posting about the same bad meal for years!
