My great aunt who passed away two years ago at the age of 97. When she had a dream she made it happen.
Example:
She grew up extremely poor -- she talked about having only one dress and one pair of stockings to wear and the kids used to tease her at school.
During the summers she would walk out to the country to pick berries for money for her family. On the way out of town she would pass by a huge mansion, built by a lumber baron. It had a long driveway and she would walk a little ways up the driveway and pretend that it was her house and she was coming home.
After high school she went to business school, saved, invested -- and long story short, she bought that house and lived in it until my uncle passed away in the 90's. She was a very, very wealthy woman when she died. And she was the first person to take me to Disney World as a child.
She's the most amazing woman I've ever known. She made everything work, she made everything happen. She was extremely disciplined, tough as nails, funny, and smart. She said she was a "flapper" as a young woman. Everything about her was so interesting.
