Most for your $$$ on the DDP?

I'll just say that the only real value is in getting good food that YOU like -- make your restaurant choices based on the kinds of food you and your family enjoy, and then compare prices at the places you're interested in to see where best to use the plan....

I love the plan in general because you do save overall for your food. I love tht you get an app, entre and desert at meals so you can try a lot of food.
We kept our receipts and I think we ended up paying about half for the food we ate. Enjoy. I can't wait till the counter sve pecost Bills and the huge hamburgers with fresh mushrooms for them.

As far as CS credits, we found our best bang for a buck at CSR's Pepper Market. Their food is fresh, abundant, delicious, and there's so much to choose from. You can even get a ribeye steak dinner for 1 TS credit! Also good for a CS credit are Cosmic Rays in MK, Tusker House and Flame Tree in AK, and Tangeriene Cafe at Morocco in Epcot.

Bleeps is right - to get the best VALUE, order food you like.

To get the most for your credits:
Use snack credit at a resort food court to get something priced as close to $4.00 as possible.
Have lunch at Pepper Market: get the Ribeye steak, a drink and whatever dessert you're allowed (cookie/muffin kind of thing)
Dinner at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe: Crab cake appetizer, Filet entree, eligible beverage, chocolate souffle cake for dessert.

Total 'cost', including tax and tip, is just over $104 per person, per day.

To me, the way to maximize benefit is pick the food you like best. Personally, I've never understood the concern some folks have with how much they *aren't* paying for a meal - but if it makes you happy.....

We just returned on 8/25/06. We thought all our meals were a great deal but probably the best for us was the California Grill. Even thought it is 2 TS/person, it was well worth it. Our total bill would have been $166!! We paid nothing. I had one of the best pieces of steak I have ever had in my life. It melted in your mouth!!

We had delicious steak dinners at Coral Reef in Epcot. The restaurant was beautiful, the waiter very friendly, and the food, great. For 2 adults and 1 child our bill was a bit over $150--costing us nothing thanks to the free DDP!

I've often herad the 2 credit meals aren't a good deal, but we too just got back and dined at CG. Our bill was similar to yours, $169.00 and I thought that was a great deal.

But I do agree with the above post, noting to dine where you want, and where you will like the food. To me it doesnt matter how much I save, if Im not enjoying my meal, or want to be somewhere else, it's worth nothing.
