Hi,

What is the most you have spend on a single cut of meat from a meat market or grocery store?

I spent around $40 for a rib roast once for a New Year's dinner. I was so nervous I was gonna ruin it!

Today, when I was buying my ham, the guy ahead of me in line bought a rib roast for $96!! Yikes!

herc.

We just paid $57 for a 5 pound prime rib roast for New Year's Day. It's our once a year splurge!!!

We spent $30 on a rib roast for Christmas this year. Since we buy it through the military commissary we get it cheaper than if we bought it on the outside. But that is the most I think I have spent on a single piece of meat. I just hope I don't mess it up!!

My inlaws told us last night that they spent $118 on the roast for Christmas dinner.

When I buy a tenderloin, it usually prices in at $70-80. It never fails that when I buy one, I wind up in a teenage cashier's line and he or she will comment about how much that meat is. Little do they know that I take it home and butcher it myself into a roast and steaks, so I get more than one meal out of it.

As of last night

I stopped buying beef :(
