Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

Hey -- you were right!

IMG_3909-2.jpg

There were several things that got me to laughing so hard I can hardly breathe now. (Better take my shirt off...)

but oh my, that photocrapped picture!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: Must. Have. Air. :rotfl2:

I'll admit it -- I'm right there to jump, unless Marv or Dan beat me to it!

That took me waaaay too long to do. It shouldn't be as hard to do as I made it, but I was fumbling through. (But in the end, it was worth it!)

So worth it. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

You know we can't wait to jump on any little mistake. :goodvibes

It's all fair game.:rotfl2:

Hey, this is the same conversation my wife and I have had for years, whenever we see the latest school schedule!

We lived in NC for a few years, '96-'99, and we never had snow days, but I think they did have to adjust the schedule due to days lost because of hurricanes. But my kids were little (or non-existent) then.

I have lived her since the beginning of "my time"....1972... (I cant believe I just disclosed my REAL age!!) and we tend to get more ice than snow - and you SAY the word ice, and they go ahead and close schools - its quite funny....I used to LOVE that when I was younger and in school - but now that I'm the one that has to take off when the kids are out of school..not so much....

I'm assuming the B in BFF still stands for "best"?

I do think the B in BFF still stands for "best" - I think its the "Fs" that can change!! :lmao:

With the Daisy avatar that was my first assumption, but I'll be honest, after reading "Avery&Todd" I wasn't sure....

nope - they're my doggie-dogs..

Here is Avery...
Avery_fullbody_3_12_10.jpg

and here is Todd...he's 15 this June - he's the "old man" of the pack...
P8260018.jpg

and just so it doesnt look like I play favorites..here is "Jake", my baby..he's 2..
Jake_13_15_11.jpg

I haven't scurried yet....any particular place I should scurry to? Trip reports?

ummm....I've just come out to you, Faultleroy, Queenofallthings & Dizneydawn...so no trip reports from me..yet...and I don't know if I have the "kahunas" to write one..I mean what if NO ONE read it - I would be such the loser and could never post on here again....:headache:

and I've seen a few of those sad TRs that have like the OP and then like 4 followers - I don't want to be in that boat....:sad2:

:rotfl2:

Sounds like you are west of me. We have NO snow days built in. We usually have 1 or 2 so I think they should build in a couple. When I was in NY we would have 3 build in and if we did not use them we went to school for 3 extra days. No harm there right?

psst...I'm no :teacher:, but I'm in Durham and I think that's "east" of you....hehehe....

My welcome to NC was hurricane Hugo. :sad2:

well, like I told Glenbo123 - if you're going to "GO" you might as well "GO BIG"...NC was just welcoming you as bigly as we knew how!!

:welcome:

Ok, now that I've seen this famous Glenn/Marv pic, I fully understand why you're making that face! Marv looks mischievous and you look uncomfortable. Isn't it obvious, he goosed you!! Didn't he? No wonder you can't see his arm in the pic, he's pinching your patootie!
IMG_3909-2.jpg

Notice the slight smirk on Marv's face? He looks plenty pleased with himself Glenn. It must be hard to relive that moment.:sad2:

Molly, I love it...just perfect. Poor Glen.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

No need to be blush over it... I can see where you might think so, I do do think my DH was a little alarmed however that I might be planning something. I came back in from the kennels and he said "someone wrote back to you the Dis, you may want to read and respond":lmao:. He got a laugh later.

This May will be our first Dis Meet so I am really excited, especially after seeing all your pictures and reading . We are going to meet up at Epcot France Slushie Kiosk ...... Yummy and go from there. I do not know if DH will have a slushie he is a little more interested in the beer and wine > We are hoping however to get a group slushie picture ... we shall see.

I am soory to hear about the head ache, I do understand though mine come from stress and being over tired combine the two:scared1: I used to have to bring prescription medication with me, but since I have found that along with sunglasses , a nap ,and Excedrian Migrane I can function. It is hard though when you have all that excitement are ready to go but your head hurts so bad that you think it may explode.

May be one day we will be in WDW at the same time for a Dis meet. After our May 2011 we are there November 2011. F&W yea, with the family:banana:

Love the puppy pics! I will have to post some of my furry kids, we have 9 Rottweilers who seem to think they are toy somethings. Our oldest male Axel who is 150+ plus is a fraid of Skittles the kitten:confused3Skittles on the other hand is not afraid of him or the others at all . In fact I think said Kitty takes great joy and pride in terrorizing them:lmao:

Oh my goodness! LOVE ROTTIES!! I have a good friend with 2 and they are SO GOOD!!

and in my "BK" life (that's "before kids" life) we had 3 cats & 2 dogs - well, actually, my little dog Todd was around way back then and included in that count..

but...I digress..:rolleyes1

We had a little cat named "Tasha" who was 8lbs of all MEAN..and she would trap Todd (who was 23lbs) in a room by standing in the doorway....she would just sit in the doorway cleaning herself and he would bark and bark and bark until someone would go see what the commotion was about - and there would be "Miss Bossy-boss"....looking all innocent and sweet...:lovestruc

She was a mess I tell you!!

psst...I'm no :teacher:, but I'm in Durham and I think that's "east" of you....hehehe....
yes you are east. I figured more west based on the actual addition of snow days. Did not realize Durham was that smart to add days in.:rotfl: Charlotte- Meck schools have not caught on that we actually get snow, ice and hurricanes. :headache:

well, like I told Glenbo123 - if you're going to "GO" you might as well "GO BIG"...NC was just welcoming you as bigly as we knew how!!

:welcome:

That was abig welcome. One the my last years in NY we had hurricance Gloria so i guess NC wanted me to feel right at home.

Well, lets just say..they may have their snow days covered, but lets not get carried away with how "smart" they are in other areas....:scared1:

Well, N.C. is known as a "friendly state"...its quite southern and has nice manners...:rotfl:

Was it Faunt's famous chili?

It's a Canon Rebel XSi
it was a new variation of my other chili, which candi said was very good, might have a chance at winning my own cookoff competition now.

are the new canon cameras compatible with the old lenses from the film cameras?

Your picture on SE came out beautifully!! :rotfl: I'm such a newb still when it comes to certain things such as knowing the moment they take your picture. I've never even had my picture show up on SE. Maybe I'm a vampire. Wait. They don't have reflections in a mirror. I dunno.

Your thread is in Code Red, Glenn, please come give it some CPR!

Yes that is a RARE pix Marv with MOUTH shut !!!!:rotfl2:

You don't see that every day.

So worth it. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm glad you thought so!

I can't believe that you didn't want to disclose it and then it turns out you're younger than me!

I hate it when they close schools just at the threat of nasty weather. Half the time nothing happens and it turns out it was just a bunch of hype by the weather and newspeople.

I do think the B in BFF still stands for "best" - I think its the "Fs" that can change!! :lmao:

I just thought with that special greeting the B could come to represent a couple of different words.

nope - they're my doggie-dogs..

Something tells me you'd have nothing to worry about. ;)

That was almost 2 years ago now, and the bruises are just beginning to fade.

Molly, I love it...just perfect. Poor Glen.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Poor me?

I know, poor Glenn! He probably spent hours in therapy trying to erase it from his memory!:sad2:

Hours and hours.

No need to be blush over it... I can see where you might think so, I do do think my DH was a little alarmed however that I might be planning something. I came back in from the kennels and he said "someone wrote back to you the Dis, you may want to read and respond":lmao:. He got a laugh later.

Aha! So your husband is a lurker. :tiptoe:

Sounds like fun! Have you been corresponding with the people for a while?

I am soory to hear about the head ache, I do understand though mine come from stress and being over tired combine the two:scared1: I used to have to bring prescription medication with me, but since I have found that along with sunglasses , a nap ,and Excedrian Migrane I can function. That is a very good description of how I felt on our arrival day. :headache:

May be one day we will be in WDW at the same time for a Dis meet. After our May 2011 we are there November 2011. F&W yea, with the family:banana:

I really want to go during F&W sometime, but it doesn't look like it'll be anytime soon, now that Judy is teaching. :(

I have nothing to add here...but feel free to continue. :)

Bertha and Fran were our welcoming committee.

Well, N.C. is known as a "friendly state"...its quite southern and has nice manners...:rotfl:

I can agree with that....but, it was the other transplants from the north that we were able to connect with the most.

it was a new variation of my other chili, which candi said was very good, might have a chance at winning my own cookoff competition now.

That's great....good luck!

are the new canon cameras compatible with the old lenses from the film cameras?

I'm sure you'd have to check with whatever specfic lens and camera body you're talking about, but I'd say that if they're all Canon and the lens had autofocus, there's a good chance they're compatible.

Your picture on SE came out beautifully!! :rotfl: I'm such a newb still when it comes to certain things such as knowing the moment they take your picture. I've never even had my picture show up on SE. Maybe I'm a vampire. Wait. They don't have reflections in a mirror. I dunno.

I can't remember exactly, but I think there was a time during the ride that it told you that your picture was about to be taken.

Hmm, no picture on SE huh? That's a little scary.

Your thread is in Code Red, Glenn, please come give it some CPR!

You mean that I had a lot of respondin' to do? I know! You folks were chatty this afternoon. :hyper2:

That's good to see though!

Bertha and Fran were our welcoming committee.

I remember those gals. ::yes:: Some might call them windbags.

I can agree with that....but, it was the other transplants from the north that we were able to connect with the most.

It is funny- most southerners would call northerners rude. However, most northerners will find the most kind and hospitable people in the south are from the north.

Ba dum bum! :)

In my circumstance, where most of the people on my street were from "up north", I think it was because we were in the same boat -- transplants from the north, no family nearby, etc. It gave us a common bond.

Just thought I'd post here a picture I recently posted on Dan's thread. It captures our historic first meeting. Today he's getting his head shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't say I get welcomed by Hurricanes but they tend to show up where I am. We lived in Columbia, SC when Hugo came through. We moved back to Baton Rouge, Louisiana right before Hurricane Andrew came. Of course we were here for Katrina, Rita and Gustav.

Time to take down that "Hurricanes Welcome" sign. You've definitely had your share! ;)
