5 Judy's!!!
Well, the name anyway, and some difficult person mentioned that those should be listed as Judy sightings too, so let me be the first!!!!
At least you have to give me credit for reading this time Glenn!!!![]()
Oh, I have GOT to get those phone numbers in my phone for next trip!!! Tell Marlene nice beret! And I see she has gotten into that Silly Bandz craze like Drew......![]()
Fun update! That must have been special to just have Marlene with you. My DD's get excited when it's just one on one time with either DH and myself.
I love how you messed around with the phone booth!I didn't know you could actually call the number, that is very fun! We'll try it for sure next trip.
Marlene looks fabulous in her beret too.I actually prefer the original pic of her, it's softer and pretty. You know, my middle DD has a fixation on Paris too. I don't know why, maybe because I read Madeline to hear so much as a young girl? Regardless, she loves all things Paris!
I'd forgotten to comment on Judy's PChef news too! I'm sure it'll be an adjustment for her but it sounds like the right decision. Teaching is such a wonderful profession! (I used to teach before I had my girls) It is time consuming with lots of prep work involved so I can completely understand her decision to let PChef go, there's only so many hours in the day! I wish her all the best! And for the record, I LOVE all my Pampered Chef products too! My very good friend from college began her business with them and I have been to many a PChef party and left with way to much merchandise! Tell Judy it's good stuff!
Ya, but at least you get the points for it.I guess I get a big fat 0 for 0 Judys, sigh.

OK, I have GOT to tell you about that guess that I only BARELY squeaked in- it actually had drama to it.
I was DISing earlier and accidentally hit the keyboard key something-or-rather that gave some weird message, and I pushed "OK", and went back to looking at who had what up today.
Then, I read your post that one was coming and was going to reply-
"Great, short posts are great! I'll be watching."
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, when I went to type it, I COULDN"T!!!!!
Knowing that the post was imminent, I shot upstairs as fast as my short little out of shape legs could carry me, and opened Explorer on the desktop.
THis was WHILE I was scanning the post on my non-typing netbook. Quickly counting I hit reply on the desktop,b ut realized I wasnt' logged in, and today our internet seems interminably S L 0 W!!!! Finally, it logged me in and I could post. UGH!!
I just restarted my netbook and now it is typing fine. BUT PHEW! That was a seriously scary moment of not getting any points!!
Very cool about the number for the phone booth! I had no idea!![]()
And those pictures of Marlene in front of the flowers are awesome.![]()
at least you didnt talk to some guy in yellow shorts and tell him his legs looked sexy.
that would have just been weird.

good update, and i like the photos i didnt know you could edit them like that.

I like the color one better too. But it is a beautiful setting and a beautiful subject. Marlene looks great. My youngest still wants one of the painted parasols.
Sorry the phone booth didn't work out better. I've read of people calling from all over and getting random people to answer the phone. I would love to surprise my kids one day because you know they just have to take a picture in the phone booth.
Dagnabbit. I was hoping you'd get to ask people if they had Prince Albert in a can, or if their refrigerators were running. Sigh...![]()
Yeah, I won't be doing that again.
You'll just have to go and find out for sure. And where are the Glenn beret pictures?![]()
Yet another great shot!![]()
I think I have to go with the color one. Seems more in the spirit of Renoir...or Monet...or whoever you're going for here. Durer, maybe?![]()
How did you take that picture of Marlene in the mirror without getting yourself in it??? I have never figured out how to do that!!!
They removed the doors on the phone booths? I wonder why? It's too bad nobody had the GUTS to pick up the phone. OR, they thought it was one of those Disney sounds that they pipe in to give a more realistic feeling.![]()
Aww, it's so nice that she's so interested in another culture like that. It'll be cool to see if she actually continues to improve her French and comes back years later and can speak fluently with the CMs in French!
I like the black and white one better. It reminds me of the opening sequences of old 80's television shows. Like "Live in Color".
Tribilín;39907146 said:Me too! As soon as I set foot in World Showcase I feel the urge to run to France and spend lots of money there... the only difference is that I spend it on the Boulangerie Patisserie![]()
I know there were 0 Judys but 8 Marlenes.
The phone booth calling was fuinny. It is good to have Daddy/daughter time.
Sorry to hear about Judy and Pchef. I know something had to give and she will get used to the idea but I am sure she will miss it for a while. 12 years is a long time.
Congract on her "act 2" as a teacher. On being a high school math teacher.
The whole phone booth thing had me laughing very hard! And the shots of Marlene in France are gorgeous. I might be with Judy on this one, I think I like the one in color best.![]()
Intended foreshadowing?!So, with the park passes and James having been delivered to Judy, Marlene and I bid them adieu...
Oh my gosh, I LOVE this - too funny! How sad that no one would take the bait.Well that was kind of fun, but you know that real fun will be in trying to get someone else to pick up the phone. We positioned ourselves across the street and hung out for a minute or two until some people came near the phone booths, and then I dialed. (This looks like something out of Candid Camera, doesnt it?)
Somewhere, somehow, Marlene has developed a love for all things France, and Paris in particular.
FWIW, my standard winter hat is a wool beret, so that's what I wore while in Paris in late Nov. some years ago... I was far from alone, and that was not tourist season!Im not sure that anyone actually still wears berets in France, but dont tell her that.
Huh, who knew? Looks a lot like Florida.Youre in Morocco
i know, wonder if it is just bright color ones or any colored shorts?Yeah, I don't know who would do that. Next, they'll be telling people on the internet that they get all giddy when they correspond with them.
so this second has been going on for a few years now.yuki, I just felt like being a smart alec for a second.![]()
I'm up to date with Part Two!!!
Intended foreshadowing?!![]()

Hi Glenn! Joining In!Very late, but your chapter links helped me catch up.
You have a beautiful family and it looks like you had a successful trip so far!
DH and I were there a few weeks before you and it was quite warm!
Can't wait to read more!
Yay! I am so glad you are finishing this. I've been checking the boards every few days for an update.

Marlene looks adorable in her beret!! So glad she was able to get exactly what she wanted. Great picture in front of the flowers too - is that normally a fountain though? Or is the fountain in front of the flowers?![]()
