Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

Ooo, you should call a couple of them at the same time and pull them into a conference call with each other, then just sit quietly and see if they figure out that they're both at Epcot. :rotfl2:
that would be funny if i knew how to do that.
:guilty::confused3

Day 8 - Part 3

Marlene came over and joined the rest of us and we just hung out there for a minute. Then we saw a man and woman come around the corner and my kids said, “Dial it! Dial the phone! Dial the phone Dad!” :hyper: So, I hit the button.

The phone rang.

The guy looked at it. Paused.

And walked over and picked it up.
They walked over and talked to us for a minute. The guy said, “I walked by, and the phone started ringing. And all I could think was, ‘When you’re at Disney, and you walk by a phone and it rings…how can you not pick it up?’” :confused3

They had really gotten a kick out of it, and we finally felt like we’d had a really good pay-phone call. At last!

That was SO worth waiting for!!!!!!!!!!!

I dream of Marleney. :genie:

Marlene cracks me up, I love her poses.

Oooh, you have a new avatar!:thumbsup2 It looks good, though you might want to invest in some sunscreen.;) I can see the Tree of Life, sort of. Well, actually I can't. I thought it was a shot from the Grand Canyon or something. Still, I like it, it's better than just Timon.:thumbsup2 I'd have gone with your Spaceship Earth pic...

I love your prank phone call!
That was too neat that you were able to get pictures of the guy talking on the phone & then actually talk with him after the phone call!
He seemed like a great sport.

finally caught up again! Been super busy with school but anyway. BTW I love your kidani pictures...I think I want to stay there soon. Your dinner at the wave looked delish!

I wanted to get the colors really, really saturated. When you consider that this is another one I was playing around with...

...the one I'm using may not seem so bad, sunburn-looking-wise.

I can see the Tree of Life, sort of. Well, actually I can't. I thought it was a shot from the Grand Canyon or something.

Hmmmm, maybe I need to keep working on it.

Still, I like it, it's better than just Timon.:thumbsup2 I'd have gone with your Spaceship Earth pic...

Ha! Yeah, right. Ain't happenin'. :sad2:

nope i know how to hit send and answer.

If I ever have to put someone on hold, I make sure to tell them that if I lose them, I'll call them back.

I've been known to have trouble with both!!!:lmao:I knew I was in trouble when Steph said she wanted her new phone just like mine:scared1::scared1::rotfl2:

She probably knows where the "on" button is though. ;)

That right there would be a true piece of work! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hey now.

I love your prank phone call!
That was too neat that you were able to get pictures of the guy talking on the phone & then actually talk with him after the phone call!
He seemed like a great sport.

It was hard to not to laugh while I had him on the phone and was taking pictures of him at the same time. It was a fun moment! He was a good sport -- the perfect person to do that to.

I'm glad you're caught up, but it's good to stay busy.

Thanks, I hope you get to stay at Kidani soon too. It's a great resort!

A few of you wanted to see how my big World Showcase picture turned out. It's kind of weird taking a picture of a picture, but here goes.

Here's one using the flash, but we couldn't avoid getting some glare on the photo.

Then we tried it without the flash. We were laughing because Swiffer had to get in the picture.

They're not very good pictures of the picture, but you get an idea of what the finished product looks like. I'm happy with it. It's exactly what I would expect -- a nicely printed picture on good quality paper, delivered in perfect condition, and suitable for framing (or wallpaper bordering). So, if anyone's looking for an enlargement of an odd-sized picture, I'd recommend these folks: colorenlargement.com

Oh, and my suspicion was right. I'm wishing I could have gotten the 11-inch high picture, like was originally delivered, but in the length that would have included all of the countries in my photo. But that would have been beaucoup bucks...way more than the big bucks I was already paying.

Since I have your attention, I'll throw in a couple more items. I thought you might like to see a couple of pictures of Marlene as a harem girl in her school's production of "Aladdin". Can you spot her?

So, you can see that she's putting that dramatic flair to work on the stage...not just in our Disney Photopass pictures.

Also, we received a couple of postcards in the mail today.

IMG_4736.jpg

They are from Magdalene (Flossbolna) and Katharina (Nodnol). Magdalene knew that Marlene loves France and had asked me if I thought she might like to receive a postcard from Disneyland Paris while they were on their recent trip. It was such a thoughtful gesture and Marlene was really excited to receive it. (Hers was the card on the left.) The card on the right was addressed to me, and I was surprised and happy to receive it. I knew that one was coming for Marlene, but didn't expect one for myself. Thank you ladies! You are so kind!

One last piece of business before I wrap up this post. The next chapter in the trip report is ready to go and will be posted tomorrow at 12:00 pm, eastern time. It's a two-part update, so make sure you give me time to put up both posts before you start submitting your Judy-sightings.

:)

What's your official answer? :confused3

I don't see any Judy's- which would be typcial for the post I guess on. sheesh, I can't win!!

Marlene is a born actress.... but then again, she already knows that.

Sweet pic! Glad they got it right this time for you!

Wow, that picture of a picture turned out really well! Swiffer is such a cute name for a dog! I was really expecting to see a swiffer sweeper in your shot...

Oh my gosh, where would you find a frame to fit it? It's VERY nice though.

Woooow, that a production!! Marlene looks really good too! And that backdrop is amazing! I wish my school put on plays of that caliber. I would've loved to play Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (I went to an all-girls school).
