Hi all! We're heading off on Sunday, staying til Friday. We have HB Premium, so we'll be having evening sitdown meals, and CS for lunch. I've been studying the menus, and think that I'll generally go for a salad main and drink, and order kids' menus for my 3 children.

Was it between 12:00 and 14:00 that lines are the worst?
And if we end up having to eat then (the hot breakfast at DLH) should keep us going for a long time, where is the service fairly efficient?

We went at this time of year 4 years ago, and I don't remember what the lines were like.

its really impossible to tell, it changes on a daily basis and I'm convinced DLP only knows on the morning when they turn up for work which staff will be working which restaurant.

Avoid 12noon til 2pm if you possibly can, among small/not horrendously slow queues I've experienced at DLP in low season (as it should be next week) I'd include Last Chance Cafe, Colonel Hathis, and Blockbuster Cafe. Earl of Sandwich is great, but again, before noon or mid-afternoon.

I've completely given up on some counter service in the main park before now, and headed to the Cable car bakeshop or Victorias on Main St for a drink and a sandwich/slice of cake to keep us going. I seriously feel like I'm losing the will to live in counter service queues at DLP.

It's been a while since I've been, so not sure what your HB vouchers get you really. However, if you are staying at the DLH consider having your breakfast after EMH, so head back towards the end of EMH. That way you may not be hungry until much later. In addition, it means you don't have to be up at silly o'clock to get down to breakfast so early as to not miss any of EMH.

Clearly this isn't going to be a great option if you have to use CS and TS every day though. As you will want to use them up. Just trying to think of a way around eating at popular times. As Elaine says, CS in the parks is just the pits with regard to queuing unfortunately!

When we last went for 5 nights, we found this worked really well as we barely needed any 'lunch' - I think we've only used HB premium vouchers once on our stays. I did take breakfast biscuits/oat bars and some little cartons of pure juice to have when we got up. These tided us over nicely until our DLH breakfast! :thumbsup2

I'm another fan of going for EMH first and then going for breakfast :thumbsup2 That's my plan to, so that we can possibly do with just a snack until our sit down meal in the evening.

I think it's a hit and miss in terms of service. Blockbuster Cafe in the Studios is generally ok as it's self service and then queue to pay at the tills. I've always found EOS very good service too - probably the most efficient in the resort. The wait is because they're making your sandwich fresh :)

I usually watch to see which CM is serving the quickest and join that queue :lmao:

Have a lovely time :goodvibes

^^ What these two lovely people have said! ^^

Run off for EMH, pop back to the DLH for a big breakfast, and then keep going until dinner. We have quite a young daughter so an evening meal around 5/6 suits us at the moment (except one or two evening when we ate after Dreams! - Winter hours though!) and a late breakfast and early dinner works really well!

Otherwise get to a CS place around 11.30am!

Thanks for input. One of my children has Aspergers and ADHD, but it's hardly noticeable as long as he eats regularly and takes his Ritalin. He gets up at 6 every day, so I'll stick to my plan of early breakfast. Otherwise, I'd had loved to do EMH first. I'll just make sure we go to breakfast at 11:30.
