Thanks so much for all of your help! After looking into the cost-savings with renting points through a DVC member I am pondering that. Just have a bit of anxiety about it since I have never done that before! Thanks again!

I agree with this. I know that 99.99999% of the people renting points are good, honest people. But, I like the security of knowing for sure that I will get to Disney World, and the room will be there in my name. With David's , you pay a little bit more, but it is worth the peace of mind. We used him, and were more than pleased. Stayed at Old Key West, and the room was ENORMOUS with a HUGE balcony! Really, really nice.

When you figure what kind of room/rooms you need, you really need to figure how many beds, not just how many people. On our last family trip, we were 6 adults. But, we needed 5 beds, as only my husband and I were a "couple". No one else wanted to share a bed, and I didn't blame them. So, we had to find a way to get 5 beds.

David is a broker. He may know some of the members who rent through him, so that is good. But even some of them might not pay their dues and get foreclosed on. You just don't know. Some members rent out their points because they need the money for other stuff.
