I have heard Liberty Tree Tavern fits this category but am looking for other suggestions. My wife and I will be spending one day at the Magic Kingdom after a 4-day cruise on the Disney Wonder. Sure, the food will be a let-down after the wonderful food they serve on the ship, however, we are willing to sacrifice a little in order to get an economical meal. We have learned that it makes sense to have our big meal mid-afternoon rather than in the evening. It will save you about $10 or so...

Go to www.wdwig.com

You can check out menus and prices there! But, remember, some prices have been raised recently.

the plaza restaurant is very good. the portions are huge!! it is located off main street, to the right, next to the ice cream parlor.

Cosmic Rays has chicken and potatoes for $16. It's supposed to serve a family of 3. After cruising, we go through the withdrawal and want full service. I get inspired to cook new things for about a couple of weeks. I'd check out the menus at www.wdwig.com too.

I echo hoosll and disney queen, the plaza is the most reasonable sit down restaurant in the M.K. Ditto on the portions (huge), quality was great also.

The Trail's End Buffeteria. I know it's not in the Magic Kingdom, but it's worth the boat trip over to Fort Wilderness. It's one of the best kept secrets at WDW. :)
