most direct route from fantasyland to Adventureland

We're leaving in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to get my touring plan for Disneyland nailed down. (compulsive planner here) We're going to do the most popular rides in Fantasyland first and then head to Adventureland for Fast Passes to Indiana Jones. I have two maps pulled up online, one of them an arial view, but I can't figure out how to get to Adventureland. Can anyone tell me the most direct route from Fantasyland to Adventureland? Thanks.

Probably just out of the castle and into the hub to get to Adventureland. There is a side path though out of the castle, that takes you through the Frontierland bathrooms over by the mexican restaurant, and from there you can go to Adventureland, but I don't think that's any faster.

There are a couple great shortcuts, but it's pretty hard to describe unless you've been there. . .

If you are in FL and facing the back of the castle, there is a tunnel to the right that says "passageway to Frontierland". If you go through that tunnel, it will dump you out at the Carnation Gardens stage area where bands play. Directly to the left of the stage is another pathway that will lead you to the entrance of Frontierland. If you keep going straight you will pass the Frontierland Mercantile on your right, and then you will find yourself in Adventureland by the bathrooms. Turn right and Indy will be ahead on your left.

Hope that wasn't too confusing. It's probably the most direct route, but not necessarily the easiest to find for newbies.

I'd follow dangermouses advice. Mostly because it will allow you to go around the inlfux of people coming through the castle.

BTW you won't be there during a very busy time and if weekdays it will fell quiet. Makes a huge difference at DL because people aren't there for a full week like at WDW. Most multi day trips just go for the weekend.

Indy may be the only ride that requires a fast pass while you are in DL.

Going those days I'd change your plans. While I like to go left first. Because Indy, Pirates, Haunted mansion and Spash Mountain are all in a line. A lot of people do Tommorowland first. Space mountain, buzz, Finding Nemo subs and Autopia. While I go on to BTMRR they would go to the matternhorn. I would hold off on Fantasyland unless you have little kids who can't go on rides like Indy.

& which attraction in Fantasyland were you planning on doing last prior to heading to Indy for a FP pickup?
