We just got back and stayed at the Poly. We took my mother and the monorail hotel was great. But I felt that the contemporary might have been even more convient to the parks, etc. for her. Just wondered what everyones opinion is

Thanks
Becky

In my experience, the Poly was the best for getting to both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. You are so close to MK and the TTC, that for location to those 2 parks, it is tough to beat! If you are spending most of your time in Epcot, the Yacht and Beach Club is the one for you. You are only 5 minutes away from the World Showcase. However, we found their bus service to be sloooooow. If you plan on skipping Epcot, go with the Contemporary. Then you can just stroll on over to the Magic Kingdom.

Hopefully that helps!

The Epcot resorts are great for Epcot (duh) and MGM access. I love going in through the IG.

For easy access to MK it's hard to beat the monorail resorts, including SoG. CR is good because of the ability to walk to MK.

& don't forget the incredible BWI & BWV's!!

While at the CR one night this past Jan. the elevator was not working so it made wheelchair access to and from the monorail very hard. Just wanted to let you know for your decision making.

IMHO, the Polynesian is in the best location because of the short walk to the TTC. This way, you don't have to switch monorails at the TTC. :)

Right.

And as a family that has stayed many times at the Polynesian and BCV, the Polynesian is more convenient to FW than the Epcot resorts IMO. It is a deceptively long walk to the IG, then to the WS walkway, then to FW if staying at the Epcot resorts. Of course, the monorail is an attraction unto itself for our family so we love the Epcot monorail.

I think it's about a wash to the countries on the East side of WS. Y&BC/BCV are the most convenient to those on the West side.
