What do people consider the most collectible Disney Books?

I'd throw out the two Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas Books:

The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation (probably the hands down king of Disney books)
The Disney Villain

For Disneyland:

The Nickle Tour (Book of Disneyland Postcards)

Those are all great books that you mentioned, especially the Nickel Tour book.

Some of the most desirable books (to me) are books that were not published by Disney. I recently added one to my collection that I had been trying to obtain for years: Florida's Disney World: Promises and Problems by Leonard Zehnder. This book was published in 1975 and provides a unique look at the impact WDW had on the Orlando area and Florida in general. It's been out of print for years, and I was happy to finally find a copy!

To me, the most valuable Disney publications are the Disney Company stock/annual reports from the pre-Ei$ner years. I have about six of them, but I would like to have them all the way back to 1965. The reports from when Walt Disney was still alive sell in the $150 - $250 range!

Just to clarify, when I said 'throw out' I mean 'suggest' not disregard (I take it most would have gotten that.)

Very interesting about the annual reports. Never thought of that!

One thing I may note, the two Johnson and Thomas books both came in a Limited Edition version with a fancy slipcover and autographed.

Guess not many into book collecting. I'd say it's probably going to be the Limited Edition Version of the Illusion of Life which goes for around $400 on Ebay right now.

One of my favorite Disney books is Gardens of the Walt Disney World Resort

One I would like to obtain is the Art of the Haunted Mansion it reg. sells on ebay for around $200

Ya, I have that Art of the Haunted Mansion on my list but I found it was more about the Art and props used in the Movie I think than about the art in the actual ride? But I imagine there would be a lot of overlap. Does anyone know if the book thoroughly covers all the art in the ride or does it primarily or solely focus on the movie like I've been led to believe?

I bought the Illusion of Life new at DLP, and have no clue about its value on eBAy, but I got the Disney Villain off eBay very cheap (and yes, it's in good condition).

A book that is always expensive on eBay is the Nickel Tour, and the one about the cruise ship can get expensive at times. There is also a Carl Barks (sp?) one about Donal that can get very expensive.

I have a pretty large collection of Disney "collectible" books, for me it's not so easy to get them, I have to "import" most of them from the US.

I know regret to not have bought the LE version of "DLP, from sketch to reality", but at the time I didn't have the money.
I did buy (off eBay) a LE Fantasia 2000 book-like-thing. It's like a folder, and it has images of the movie, very nice.
As already mentioned, I have a (autographed) copy from the Disney Villain.

A book I would really love is the one about the making of the Beauty and the Beast musical, but if it's available, it's very very very expensive.

There is a website that has about every book about Disney, and most of them have links to amazon or so, so you can get an idea of how much they cost. i'll see if I can find it again.

I have a few Disney books. ANd the ones I find to be the most collectible are the ones I read when I was little. I spent some tome looking for a set of 4 in a box and was able to get it a few years ago.
