We will be there next week and from what I am seeing, our chances of decent weather look pretty good! Hoping this is true ... so wondering... which TV station or weather outlet seems to have the most accurate weather forecast ... one week out and during the actual week?

We all know that el nino or el nina or a noreaster can blow in from anywhere and mess things up ... or at least that's what the weather dudes around here use as a reason for their mis-forecasts .... ;) ... so no one gets it right every time, but guessing that some are better than others.

Trying to start packing for the trip and knowing/estimating what the weather will be will help determine what/how many to pack. ... and THANK GOODNESS for hotel laundry facilities! TIA!

You might look up a local T.V. station on the web and look at their weather report. Since the report will be from L.A. area is is usually more accurate. Try ktla, I think that is an L.A. station. Or just type in "L.A. local t.v. station"

I usually check all three major stations (FoxLA, CBS, NBC, and ABC). The one thing that I have learned living in SoCal is that it may say it's going to rain...and it does....but in a different area than where you might be.

What I find is usually if the prediction is good weather, it's going to be good. If the prediction is bad weather, it may not be as bad as they predict. The weather here seems to be in "pockets" and the forecasters typically don't do a forecast in pockets (specific SoCal areas, or only for a short time versus all day). The only times I really see forecasts that may be off is the timing of storms...sometimes they can be off by a day. I used to live in New England and remember never knowing whether the forecast was going to be right or wrong. Living in Southern California, I usually don't even look at the forecast anymore.

Also, I find it a bit warmer in the parks than the forecast usually

I use weather.com They tend to be accurate, even for the pocket areas. You can even look up and hour by hour forecast.

Disneyland vacation connection recommends accuweather.com for anahein weather. I am sure money probably changed hands but it accurately predicted our rain days the week after Christmas.
