Mosquito's ????

Are there still mosquito's in Orlando?? When does the season start?? When we were there this past fall I went through 1 1/2 bottles of bug spray. Just wondering if I need to bring some this time.

WDW resorts are still putting the DOH warnings in the rooms.

It is always a good idea to have insect repellent with DEET with you when visiting Florida. Too many nasty things carried by those insects to feel that you don't need protection.

Any time there is standing water, there will be mosquitos. Florida has no cold season to kill them off.

While we are on the topic, love bugs are back.

DVC~OKW~9, how about the deer flies? Those are the suckers that really bother us? Are they out in April? I know they are in June!

There were some sort of biting flies at Blizzard Beach when we were there last May. They were annoying, but luckily there weren't too many. Next time, I'll take bug spray, though.

No mosquitos yet. Start looking for them in June.

We were there last week, we didn't have any notice in our room and didn't have a problem with mosquitos and they do love me. I always bring a repellent with me when we travel just in case. There were a lot of pesky black fly type bugs, don't know what they were but by Storm Along Bay at Y&BC they were annoying.
