Mosquito control?

Fantasmic is where I got stung by a wasp!

My CM friend is in Fantasmic and even when using DEET products she sometimes is bitten by those biting yellow flies.

Not a concern. Plus, plenty of spray/cream on property.

Does anyone know, how is WDW pest control doing at escalating their efforts to reduce the mosquito population explosion from Hurricane Irma? I understand it is taking some time, but it would be good to know that they at least have a plan to get the mosquito population back down to normal levels or less. Or are they relying more on the county for this effort?

I never used bug spray during our summer 2017 stay but on our last night at all star sport on Aug 27 Sitting at the bar I got 5 bites on my leg. I ran over to the Laundry area were they had free repellent and put it on. No more bites after that, but the ones I got left black marks on my legs that have not went away yet. I live up north and get bit all the time but these bites were vicious. they were bothering me for couple of weeks and like I said I have never had bites like that so I would play it safe and put on repellent at night.

I don't necessarily know if the mosquito population is up in Orlando due to the hurricane. I've only heard reports of it from further south like Miami and southwest Florida.

If it is up in Orlando then I would imagine it would be both Disney workers and county workers spraying more from trucks and helicopters

DH and I both got bit by bugs in March this year. We were sitting out on our balcony at AKL. I don't know for sure if they were mosquitoes (doesn't seem like the right time of year). We were at POR before AKL and our room there had bug spray in it, but our room at AKL did not. We didn't use any because we didn't think we would need it in March.

In April of this year I got bit up by mosquitoes for the first time. We were staying at the Boardwalk and so we took more boats to get places and I would get bit while waiting near the water areas. Mosquitoes love me, but I have never gotten a bite while inside the park area.
