OK -- so my husband and I had this amazing wine at our anniversary Palo dinner in January. We're not regular wine drinkers, but this was sweet and yummy! LOVED the stuff!

I do know they also have it at Le Cellier & Narcoossee's -- we'll be visiting those in May!

Now that we're home, I've been trying to find it with out much luck. If any of you are fans of the wine, have you had any luck finding places that carry it?

I haven't seen it in any stores, but a quick search on winesearcher.com found it online:

http://www.reservewinecellars.com/list/item-detail.cfm?ID=319&rwc_code=0

It looks like you can only buy it in a package of 6 bottles, for $99.95 plus $16 shipping. This may not be the best price you can find, but I'm guessing that this wine is harder to find, since Disney buys so much of it for DCL and WDW. At least there's one place where it's available for any price!

The website even mention that the wine is served on "one of the large vacation cruise lines", and that many of their orders come from people who fall in love with it on board. Sounds familiar... ;)

Thanks, but they only ship to a specific list of states. Connecticut is not one of them. I am determined to find this wine though!

Argh, that is frustrating. Maybe you could make a DIS friend who lives in New Hampshire (which is available for shipping), who would be willing to accept the shipment for you, and then you could take a road trip to pick it up.

A lot of trouble, but hey, it's worth it for great wine, right? ;) Anyway, good luck with your search.

Thanks Jestocot, but I said that in my original post. I know two of the restaurants at WDW have it. If I can't find it anywhere else, I'll check to see if I can buy a few bottles from Disney in May.

And thanks AprilN -- hadn't thought of that. I'll have to go back and look at the list and see if I have family or friends in any of the states listed.

Hubby is a fanatic for this wine too. Amazingly, he has found two restaurants in the Chicago area, both in our hometown (!!) that serve it! What are the odds?!?! We live in a south suburb that is a real meat-and-potatoes, blue collar kind of town.

You may be able to buy the wine directly from Disney (Le Cellier or Narcoossee's) as well. It will probably be a bit more expnsive than "street" price but it may not be as bad as one would think.

My boyfriend and I love Disney's Ironhorse Fairy Tale Cuvee and we buy it (by the bottle) regularly at various places around Disney property. DCL charges around $38 (plus automatic 15% gratuity) for a bottle onboard and we usually pay $27 for it at WDW.

It may be worth looking into if you really like it!

I absolutely love this wine as well.....After my first dcl cruise I ordered it online and paid about 85 dollars after shipping...what
a bargain for 6 bottles considering it is 30+ on the ship....I am in
a state that can get wine throught the mail though...good luck finding it!!!! I believe the name of the importer was Conexport...
if I find any info will let you know...

I am a big moscato fan as well, but I know very little about it; are you absolutely set on that particular brand? Louis Martini (in CA) makes a wonderful "Moscato Amabile" that is a sparkling wine; we've bought it several times at the winery. The only thing about buying that one is that it is supposed to stay chilled and they probably don't ship it. And at Trader Joe's, which is found around the U.S., I know I've seen moscato of various sorts.

Here's an interesting article on moscato; it might give you some ideas on finding a similar wine to the one you so enjoyed.

This wine still is at this site.....www.conexport.com
It is the first wine in the list on the home page....The heading is Trentino...click on Gaierhof and then click on Moscato Giallo Trentino....Good Luck...

Dear Gaierhof Lovers: I would like to thank those of you who have ordered the great Moscato through us over the past several years. We are the direct partner in the US for the producer and distributor in Italy (Conexport).

I am happy to announce that we are now able to ship to all states in the United States. So if in doubt, don't hesitate if you would like to order. We have just received a new shipment from Italy (mid-January) so we have it in stock. To order either call us at 312-527-5810 or order through our website www.reservewinecellars.com

Please enjoy this wine and drink in good health! I look forward to hearing from you.
Phil

Wow!!! I am so glad to see this thread. I had a glass of this wine at Palo, and it is FANTASTIC!!! Many wines of this type can be more syrupy sweet, but this one is perfect! I was recently considering asking an upcoming cruiser if they could get a bottle for me.

Ahhhh... memories, a glass of this wine, high heels, and Palo being located at the top of the ship that was really 'rolling' across the gulf stream!!!! Whoa!!!! :teeth:

Barb, forgot to mention, the 2 cruises where Moscato was not available on the ship. Of course there have been several cruises where I've ordered bottle on the first night and enjoyed a glass (or two) the other two nights.

It looks as if it is 'out of stock' at the reservewinecellars???

Maybe all of us DCL cruisers have ordered it all up!!! :D

Phew! I must have gotten in just under the wire there. Got my order confirmation and hope to be enjoying my Moscato on the weekend. Sorry to anyone else who is after it.

This is our favorite wine......... we brought home 2 bottles from the ship (at $30 a pop) and then ordered a case from reserve wine cellars.........how interesting that they keep an eye on this board!!!!!

sadly, we could only make the case last 6 months!! Guess we'll have to order more!

Do you know if this wine is included in the "Stem to Stern" wine tasting? DH and I did this on our Wonder cruise last February, and I remember that there was a sweet white at the very beginning that we really liked, but couldn't remember the name. But Muscato sounds familiar...

Hi: I just ordered 6 bottles of Moscato through Reserve Wine Cellars. I talked to one of the order takers today, and he assured me that they will ship to all states, including Michigan. I should have my wines by this Wednesday.
