morning update on mom

Getting ready to head out to the hospital with the DD's.

Mom looks to be staying until Wednesday- this is the way medicaid works I guess. Having to wait for someone to come in and say "you are high risk and need to go to a rehab facility"...ayup...nice....keep her in a 7,000 a night room until you figure out that she cant stand, cant ambulate and needs 24/7 nursing care- but she's high risk idiots...

I pulled the girls out of school today to go, because if she is stuck there until wednesday/thursday I cant make it either of those days with classes etc.

yesterday she walked 5 steps- then sat, and walked 5 more steps....she's putting about 50% weight on her leg on the broken side...she was up in the recliner from 1130 until I talked to her at730, she said its actually more comfortable than the bed.

They are still striaght cathing her at night, as the bed pan is too painful. During the day she'll get up to the commode etc.

Hopefully today I'll find her in good spirits, and just maybe I'll hear she's heading to a facility somewhere closer....yeeehaaa!

I'll update what I find out
