Morning shows: The View and The Talk

I haven't seen the View in years, but saw The Talk once last month. I am another person who doesn't like Leah Remini. I never watched her sitcom because I find her so annoying and thought she was incredibly annoying on The Talk. I liked Sarah and Sharon though. Julie Chen didn't make much of an impact either way, but she didn't tell any long stories on the show I saw. What kind of stupid name is "The Talk"?! They couldn't have come up with something more creative and original than that?

I prefer the Talk a little more because it seems less political and more humorous than the View.

ITA!! I can not stand the VIEW anymore because they are mostly just in a contest to see who can be more rude.

The Talk isn't great but it's growing on me. Mare, I totally agree with you about that 'bullying' story Julie Chen told. Obviously, she has never REALLY been bullied. it was weak.

This is from The Talk Community Forum...other people had comments, but this describes well how I felt watching it...

The deal breaker for me was when Julie Chen described her "heroic tale" of being the victim of a bully! Was she really comparing her incident (which by the way...totally her fault...she could have stepped out of the theatre to complete her business email) to helpless children and teenagers who are belittled and abused to the point of suicide???!!! Her gripping account of the incident left me with a disgusted scowl on my face. How dare she? She was not the victim of a bully! Her audience was the victim of the stage hands prompting them to applaud her for being downright rude in a theatre! I am sure she embellished the story to make it appear as David triumphed over Goliath who was armed with his threatening note pad. I don't buy one minute of it and I am certainly offended that she feels she is in the same league with a whole generation of people that truly have been bullied. Shame on her!!!
And IIRC, her co-hosts were looking a little stunned too about her weak bullying story. Sharon jumped in and said some nasty things about the alleged "bully", but it appeared to me that she was trying to help Julie Chen save face.

It was the only episode I saw, and I didn't even see the whole thing, but it was a huge turnoff for me. I wouldn't watch again.

I like the Talk. I can't stand the View, I feel like all the ladies (if you can call them that) on the View just squawk.
