We are going on our first land/sea trip so i'm not quite sure what to expect time wise for getting to the ship. We wanted to take our DD to a character breakfast the morning of our cruise. Do you think we would have time to do that and still get to the ship fairly early so we could sign up for things? Thanks for your help! :flower:

Are you using DCL transfers from POFQ to Port Canaveral or are you driving yourselves to Port?

You would definitely have time to do the breakfast. We did the land/sea in Oct. and we hadn't had time to have a good, sit down breakfast until the day of the cruise. We made a PS at 9:00, had a leisurely meal, toured the gift shop, and still left by 10:30 to drive to the port. By the time we unloaded at the sidewalk, parked the car, went through security, took the kids to the bathroom and got our picture taken with Minnie in the terminal (is it called a terminal, lol), it was 12:00 and they started boarding! Perfect timing! :cheer2:

Have fun! I would make a PS for the breakfast, though.

I'll second that emotion. Last time, we were at the BC, and did the Cape May character breakfast, goofed off for a while, and then caught the Disney transfer bus over to the Port. Plenty of time, and nice to actually be able to sit for a minute after three and a half days of going full-tilt boogie.

The number is 407WDW-DINE. We are doing a character breakfast the day before we embark and then doing breakfast at Boma the morning of. We're staying at AKL so it will be nice to sleep in a little and then just have breakfast at the resort.

Just make sure you don't eat too much for breakfast! You wouldn't want to ruin your appetite for embarkation lunch which is quite plentiful! :D

As the others already posted, PS is priority seating. It's not quite the same as a reservation, but they seat you relatively quickly upon arriving, sometimes right away. It puts you in front of all the people who are walking in.

We had ours at Boma too; it's really good! Chef Mickey's is a great character breakfast too; CRT is in Cinderella's castle; have you looked at the menus? You can do that on allears . net if you want to see prices and lists of foods.

Just call the WDWDINE # and request a time; they will give you a confirmation number. We even put PSs on regular meals just to keep from having to wait when we get there.

I do agree to save room in your bellies for the AWESOME lunch buffet on the boat--so eat breakfast early and you can be hungry!!!

Good luck! :flower:

we did an early Cinderella's breakfast sine we had paid for park entry through the land/sea package. We then caught the monorail back to Poly to meet our towncar at 11 a.m.

We had time for a couple ride on the Carrousel and a few items bought on main street as well -- definately make use of your morning; especially a breakfast at a park if you have the time as you have paid for it!

There is an enormous lunch buffet and a big dinner as well. I definitely wouldn't fill up on a huge breakfast. Friends we cruised with did this and couldn't eat the rest of the day. What a waste! There's also so much to do on the ship you'll have a very full day ahead of you. We prefer to have a quiet morning as well as a light breakfast. IMO I'd save your $$ or do the character meal earlier in your trip, not the morning of the cruise. JMO.
