Morning EMH at Epcot

What are morning EMH like at Epcot? I'm planning on going for one next week. Is it possible to do Soarin' and Test Track both during EMH? What's the best strategy for getting the most done?

By the time you have ridden Soaring, the standby line for TT will have built. But you can still ride it fairly quickly if they have the single rider line open.

When we did amEMH at Epcot in March, we got there around 7:30 and were way back in the line for the gate, I think we got in around 8:10. We went straight to TT and had about a 15-20 minute wait already. We were done around 8:45, and Soarin' already had a 45 minute wait by then, before regular RD even. It was a busy Spring Break week so it may not be as bad for you, but I doubt you'll be done with both during EMH time.

I do what Minnie mum suggested. I'd get there at 7:15. That'll put you right in front of the Mickey head. You'll be on the first Soarin flight. Then check the stand by time for TT ... If it's anything over 20, go single rider. I did a non EMH day this way during pres week. We rode Soarin, then TT stand by, then two more times in single rider and then rode Soarin again with FP.

EMH means extra magic hours. In this case it's a day when Epcot opens an hour early for guests staying on site.

When we went over Spring Break this past April, we got to RD around 7:30 and were about the 4th family in line. We went right to Soarin and were of the first flight of the day, then we headed right to Test Track from there. We had a 15-20 minute wait which was fine with us because we didn't mind the wait.

We did EMH at Epcot this morning. It took us a little while to get in due to an issue with my ticket so we were on the second Soarin' flight. We made it over to Test Track at 8:30 at which point the standby line was showing 40 minutes (single rider was 5 but there were so many people pouring into it that it must have been longer). We wanted to design the car so we waited in the standby queue and were out of the ride at about 9am.

I think I'll be at the gates at about 7:20, head to Soarin' first, then Test Track, and lastly Mission Space, by then it should be time to head to my FP+ for Spaceship Earth, which is always very crowded in the morning it seems.

What time do resort buses start running, will they be running before 7AM?

For the EMH RD mornings, we were in our bus line at our resort by 6:45am.

FYI - lots of touring sites would recommend not going to a park with EMH unless you are actually going to participate in those extra hours. The park with EMH is always more crowded. Good to hit it first thing and then hop elsewhere if you can.

In my opinion the best way to get Soarin' and TT is to have a FP+ for one and then arrive at RD (rope drop) for the other. And by RD, I mean standing in line at the bus stop an hour before park opening. Gets you to the park about 15-20 mins after the hour and you're usually up close instead of behind the mob.

My strategy for Epcot will be to have a FP+ for Soar in' 9-10, Land 10-11 and then Nemo for 11-12. I plan to do TT at opening and then head to Soarin'. Once I'm thru the 2nd checkpoint at Soarin', I'll try to move up the land for a bit earlier so I can immediately ride it after getting of Soarin'. I'll do the same thing with Nemo once I'm thru the 2nd checkpoint on the land. By doing this, I hope to get a 4th FP+ and a 2nd flight on Soarin' for later in the afternoon. Sounds more complicated than it is. But what it does is puts me at getting a 4th FP+ around 10:30 instead of 11ish.

On Easter Sunday (EMH) this year, we were at Epcot 45 minutes before open. Unfortunately, we wound up standing in the wrong place. By the time we realized it, we were about ten deep. Still, we BOOKED it to Soarin', got on the second flight (got out at, I think, 8:08), then went to TT which had a 20 minute posted wait at that point. We were done with it by 8:45, by which time its SB line was 50 minutes and Soarin' was up to 80. This was before the 4th FP+ was a possibility and all of our FP+es were at DHS later that afternoon, so RD was the only way to go for us. It worked out just fine.

I would do that plan, but the only FP+ I could get for Soarin'/Test Track were for very late in the evening. I like to spend my evening exclusively at World Showcase and don't really want to walk back over to Future World just to do my FP+.
