We have an 8am ADR at Hollywood and Vine, with an 8am park opening scheduled that day. I’ve been reading about the crazy lines for HS opening and Galaxies Edge. Is there a separate check in area for ADR’s or will we need to wait in the crowd and probably arrive a little late for breakfast?

There is a separate entrance for folks with pre-Park Opening ADR's.

I recall the one at HS all the way at the left.

Keep in mind that is for pre-park opening ADRs. If the park opens at 8 and your ADR is at 8 I'm not sure how they would handle that. Won't hurt to ask a CM though.

I just checked the map and it looks like Hollywood and Vine is very close to the entrance. I’m sure it won’t be as difficult as I thought it might be. We’ll plan on arriving about 30 minutes early though and ask a CM just to be sure. Thank you

Hollywood and Vine is not super close, but it's not in the back of the park either. Either way, to the best of my knowledge, they are letting everyone in to HS these days early, so they can get in the park to get a boarding group of ROTR.

I think any ADR that is at or just around the opening time is considered pre-park for the purposes of letting you in as they do recognize that you have to walk to get there. We've been let in for 9 am tours at about 8:30 for a 9 am opening. Look for the signs or someone holding a sign if there is a line. They'll often scan your MB in line to expedite entry (you still have to scan to get into the park IIRC but this way they check to make sure you're eligible to enter).

I recall having an 8am breakfast reservation on a day that Animal Kingdom opened at 8am. It was one of my first Disney trips and I had read online that having a breakfast reservation meant that you would be able to enter the park early. That did not happen. We were let into the park the same time as everyone else.

I’ll definitely arrive early and ask, no harm in that. I have been reading about the sea of humanity at DHS for Galaxies Edge and Slinky Dog, but I’m sure if they’re allowing guests in early for rope drop, we’ll at least be that much closer to the restaurant.
