More than Pooh Sized

I am hard pressed to ever see people roaming around Disney that are any bigger than I am, so I can tell you that Soarin is NO problem, not only do I fit, but comfortably as well. I would be happy to answer any further questions about any other rides.

Out here in Cali at the Original Soarin' Over California they added these stupid platic things to the bottom of the back of the seats that makes it a bit more uncomfortable, but you still can fit, I am wondering if they have added the same things at Disneyworld?

Very Pooh sized here -- no trouble on Everest. I had been worried but I had plenty of room. The one I think it tight now is Splash Mt. Ever since they re-did the logs a number of years ago and added more padding in front of your seats. We always sit in the front seat because I read it is the roomiest. But getting in and getting out is tight and awkward.

Yeah, basically they put these stupid red pieces of plastic, apparently to make it safer for kids to ride, in the bottom of the back of the seats. While I could see how this might make it slightly saer and/or more comfortable for kids to ride it is a real pain for us larger people. Of course here in Cali they have done things to a couple of rides that makes it harder for larger people to ride.

If they considered it an improvement to the original seats at DL, it probably was part of the original seats in WDW. I'm guessing it might be the red part that shows on this picture from allearsnet.

Hi also from IA and taking my pooh sized soon to be hubby I am glad to hear that he won't have any trouble with rides. He is really nervous about going on rides. For example he won't go to Adventureland in Altoona because he doesn't think he can ride in any of the rides. Do you feel the same way when you go there?

this is turning into the Iowan thread! Adventureland can be not so much fun if you are Pooh size. I can make myself fit in most rides there, but it's ackward and uncomfortable on some. I sacrifice my dignity to go on stuff with my kids and help them have a great day. I'm happy to report that I had NO ZERO ZILCH difficulties at WDW. It was really nice to not worry about will I fit or can I get the lap bar down far enough. Have a great time at WDW!!!!

Yea!!! That will make DF very happy!!!! I told him about EE and how they have a practice seat and he was very impressed! He knows that he is big he just doesn't want to wait in line for a ride and then have them tell him he is to big or find out that he doesn't fit. Thanks for the info! We can't wait to go!

My first post - I'm a really super-sized woman and love to hear about other super-sized peoples experiences. I was afraid to try Soarin last year but maybe this year I'll have the courage. I squeezed into Primevil Whirl and was fine. The hardest part for me is entering and exiting some of the rides. I'm not too fast and the moving ones are difficult, but I usually manage. Even though I'm BIG I love Disney. I even go swimming.
