More than 2 kids? What kind of vehicle do YOU have?

I was checking out that new Buick Rendezvous, and I thought it was pretty cool until my dh pointed out the the rear door was right up against the third row seat.
So I got to wondering, am I doomed to drive a minivan until the kids are in college?
Then I got to wondering, what do my fellow DISers drive?

I joined the soccer mom minivan cult last year. Had too, just had no choice. And I figure I'll be driving it awhile. I mind but then I don't ...it does make life easier.

I have a total of 4 children, wide age range....22-12,,, two still at home.. We currently have a Town and Country van, 94 Chrysler New Yorker...and a Saturn that dh uses for commuting..

The kids like the van and the NewYorker, both are roomy and comfortable.. Strange but the 15 year old ds is LOOKING FORWARD to driving the New Yorker.. He likes the luxury of it...

I drive a minivan and I really like it.

As you can tell by my name I have 4 boys. I drive a suburban.. Had a mini van til boy #4 got here but due to having to use 2 car seats and not wanted to undo one everytime someone had to ride in the back (we had the bench seat-not buckets) we got a suburban. I love it, plenty of room, it rides great.

I drive a Suburban also. Love it!!

I have a mini-van and I will always have one most likely. I don't like SUV's and I don't think they are all that safe so unless I moved to a full size van which won't happen I'll have my mini-van which I really do love. So much room, not a gas guzzler, safe, and if you get a good stereo system in it you can still feel cool. LOL :)

I don't have kids, but I have a Dodge Durango with 3 rows of seats. (It seats 7, as the 3rd row only has 2 seatbelts.) It's a little smaller than the Suburban, and there isn't a whole lot of room in the trunk, but I can get groceries in there. I probably wouldn't be able to fit a week's worth if I had 3 kids though.

I'm still driving our '95 mini-van. Will be buying a car the next time around!:D

I have 3 kids ages 13, 13 & 6.
I've got a 2002 Town & Country mini van. I have a lot of friends who refuse to drive a mini van b/c it's not cool enough but I love mine.

I can still remember, like it was yesterday,
When daddy sold his Corvair and we watched it drive away.
Well, then we walked down to the corner with the money that he got.
He bought a Mr Cruiser off of Mr Kelly's lot.
Well, that station wagon was the ugliest thing around.
And I'd hide beneath the dashboard everytime we drove through town.
Now, 21 years later, (21 years later) I got a wife and kid.
And I'm standin here on Kelly's lot, just like my daddy did.

And I'm singin':
Goodbye 20's, hello minivan.
Look out 30's, I'm becoming my old man.
The keys are in my pocket,
I've got the title in my hand.
Goodbye 20's, hello minivan.

Sellin' that four by four really hurt my pride,
But the cold, hard fact was the lack of room inside.
Well, so long to my gone good days, I don't cruise for chicks no more.
Now it's luggage racks, and fruit juice packs, and an extra slidin' door.
And I'm singin':
Goodbye 20's, hello minivan.
Look out 30's, I'm becoming my old man.
The keys are in my pocket,
I've got the title in my hand.
Goodbye 20's, hello minivan.

I can see us on the highway, baby's fast asleep,
Momma reads a book and I'm in the driver's seat.
Headin' off to places we never been before,
With everything I need and room for more.
Goodbye 20's, hello minivan.
Look out 30's, I'm becoming my old man.
The keys are in my pocket,
Yeah, I've got the title in my hand.
Goodbye 20's, hello minivan.

Dodge Grand Caravan SE is us!!!

Got three kids ages 6,6,and 11...I drive a Dodge Grand Caravan, and will so for a long long time!!!

We drive a Dodge Grand Caravan. I don't think about it not being cool but then it seems like everyone drives a minivan here.

I drive a Pontiac Montana. I have 3 kids. I'd like to downsize, but then there is no room for other kids--like when I drive the neighbor girl to dance with DD#2. I'd be out of the car pools!

The FORD Explorer now comes with a 3rd row seat option for those who do not want to go the mini-van route:) . We love the traction of the 4-wheel drive in the snow.......

We have a Voyager mini-van and a Ford Tempo. Both are fine with 3 kids. i drove my SIL's Blazer for a week and did not feel safe in it...warnings on the car about possible rollovers didn't make me feel too comfortable.

I have 5 kids and I drive a full size conversion van. I love it. It took a little while to get used to the size of it, but now it's great. It's very roomy, but it only seats 7, so it fits my family but there is no room left for anyone else and we often have "extra" kids along. Kids love having the tv and vcr and it keeps them occupied and happier.

I have 3 kids and drive a Ford Explorer with the 3rd bench in the back. This is our second Eddie Baur Explorer. DH drives a Ford F350 with the extended cab so all 5 of us can ride in the truck as well.
