We were planning a trip to a non DVC resort (GF, Poly, Cont), I know this isn't the best use of points but I bought a resale that had points in reservation status. If you put more than two adults in a room with a cash ressie Disney charges extra, what about using DVC points? Can you put four adults in one room? Will they charge you extra $?

When this question came up early in June, I gave the poster a wrong answer. OOPS! CarolAnnK (one of this board's moderators) provided the correct info. Here's what she said (and I hope she doesn't mind that I've quoted her here):

"This has been discussed previously so I spoke with Member Services today for the correct policy. When you book outside of DVC Resorts, into the World of Disney Resorts Hotels, you will be allowed the maximum occupancy of the room using your points. In other words, if you booked four adults for the Polynesian on points, they are all covered under your point payment. That does make it a bit more attractive considering how many more points it takes to book those resorts versus booking at the DVC resorts on points. Hope this helps clarify the situation. "

Thank you CarolMN, beautifully said...and of course I do not mind the quote!! Couldn't have done better myself, LOL! ;)

That is good news and I guess makes it a little easier to swallow the extra points it takes to book. Do you also get daily made service when on points in a non-DVC resort?

Yes, daily housekeeping is included.
