I am searching for hotels that offer rooms or suites that have 1 1/2 or 2 bathrooms. With teens, it just isnt practical to only have 1, and it is generally cheaper to get a suite with 2 bathrooms. So, I know we have plenty of experienced travelers on here who can offer some advice. What do you suggest?

Staybridge Suites, Lake Buena Vista. We have stayed there 3 times, and it is very nice.

It is right at the enterance of Down Town Disney, so you are very close to Disney property. We get the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. One bedroom has a king size bed, and its own bathroom. The other bedroom has 2 full size beds, plus an adjoining bathroom. There is also a fold out couch in the living room. The suite also has its own kitchen.

Staybridge Suites also offers a complimentary continental breakfast. While not huge by any means, it is servicable. Bananas, toast, cereal, and juice. The normal stuff.

There is also a pool and hot tub. No pool slide though.

We have enjoyed all of stays at the Staybridge Suites. I think you should check it out.

Have you ever considered renting a private pool home? There are entire neighborhoods of single family rental homes with its own private, screened, inground pool. For about $120-150 per night, you can have a big beautiful 4 BR/ 3BA house. Many have big screen tvs and garages which have been converted to game rooms with billiards, air hockey, foosball, etc. We like having a full kitchen and washer/dryer. It was nice that the kids could swim
It's been a while since we've done it since we bought a timeshare but plenty of Dis-ers use www.vrbo.com. You really get spoiled fast with so much space. We'd even have a spare bedroom to store our luggage. lol!

We used to use www.villadirect.com but since we bought our TS I've heard a lot of complaints about them on the boards. Their website has a great slide show & virtual tour to see what the homes are like.

Many neighborhoods are only about a 5 mins drive to WDW property. They are in Kissimmee and the closest neighborhoods are:
Windsor Hills
Windsor Palms
Formosa Gardens Estates
Rolling Hills
Indian Creek
Emerald Island

I was going to suggest the same thing, unless it's a very short trip. If your going to be there more than a couple of days I'd say get a townhouse or condo. You can probably get a 3 bedroom two bathroom condo/th for less than the price of a hotel room.

I was thinking Residence Inn, as well.

But, in Orlando, you'll probably do far better renting a timeshare condo from an owner, or privately owned condo/townhome/pool home. There are an incredible number of such properties, and that keeps prices low.

Definitely price out the Residence Inn on Palm. The 2 b/r set-up is nice, with a king in the 1st b/r and 2 queens in the second room; each has its own full bath with a sink and large vanity outside and shower/tub with toilet behind a closed door. Plus you still have the livingroom/kitchen area to hang out in (and a sofa bed if you need it). Pool area is nice too, great free breakfast included. We really enjoy staying here.
